I think people on both sides of a situation like this should be more lenient to each other.

Yes, autistic people are usually more literal, but not all of us are. It's a spectrum. There's also a lot of autistic people who are used to slights like this against them from other people in real life and on other sites, so whether they take things literally or not they have had to learn to react to things like that in that way to defend themselves.

I think overall getting upset over how other people on here carry themselves, whether you think someone is attacking you or you are upset that someone doesn't take things literally like you do, isn't going to do anything but stress you and the other person out and make issues worse. When I have a perceived issue with someone on here I now just try to ignore it.

I feel very stupid now for even posting this thread because I truly thought it was my autism trait that caused me to word something wrong and it got misperceived. :(

Ah, do not beat yourself up over it.  These things happen, and as long as you did not hurt anyone, there is no problem.

Well I hurt one person but I wasn't the only one that hurt her. I guess you and two others sticking up for me by clarifying what I meant was an attack on her.

See, people don't care if they misinterpreted. Internet.

I handle this stuff better on Reddit because I know it's full of trolls and stupid people and bored NTs. I just assume the offended is NT for not taking me literal. If they lacked reading comprehension I think either they have a reading disability or they are a troll. Oh here I always assume they are bullying me because this is an autism forum so I hold them to higher standards than I do for an NT. But maybe I am being an ableist as well because autistic people can be stupid too and also be trolls just like an NT and can also lack understanding in autism as well and not all of us read about it and don't care to understand it. It's more like "oh I have autism, okay" and not bother reading about it.
