One of the primary frustrations as an outsider is watching the party that's "supposed to care about these issues" eternally fails to do anything when they held enough power to have done something substantial and permanent.

When they hold both houses and the presidency they're like an ineffective opposition party in terms of what the get done. Expecting Dems to do anything useful is less realistic than building a time machine, going back to before the ruling was made and sniping the judges with a shotgun filled with airsoft pellets from three miles away (and then getting away with it without any consequences whatsoever).

Well Biden did release an executive order to protect some abortion access, but he says he cannot do much more without the congress. So idk the democrats aren't just all doing nothing, but the way the congress and senate is set up they have limited power and we need more democrats on those seats. Some of the dems are trying to do useful things but right wing party is blocking them...I agree with a lot of criticisms on the democrat party, but right now that is what is standing between us and facism so it is imperative that people vote blue in the upcoming election even if the democrats are not the most ideal...at least they aren't fascists. I am a lefty of course I am disappointed with the democratic party, but at least they aren't trying to overturn democracy and make the U.S.A a fascist country. So yeah I am voting and voting blue and doing my best to encourage other left wingers to do the same...but there are just a lot on that side that 'don't believe in voting' or they are so stuck on socialist ideology they will accept nothing less who will inadvertently help the fascists by refusing to vote or insisting on 3rd parties.
