Hello everyone.

It's hard to expain why the whole experience made me feel so bad.

It has nothing to do with 'magical thinking', or irritation at rejection.

Something deeply personal and emotionally painful happened to me as a result of the psychotic episode I went through; a lot of my attempts to find an understanding, sympathetic JTHM fan to talk to are related to that.

I can't explain here as I cannot trust that the people here, nice as they are, will offer me the understanding I need.

I don't know if I ever want anyone to know exactly what I went through. Please don't try to guess.

But I'm getting through it on my own.

Thank you for your concern, sorry for the language; I was feeling at the end when I wrote that post. I'm not usually like that.

Never read it, haven't even heard of it, but then again a lot of American stuff doesn't filter over to Australia. Maybe someone else has seen it, but it's not something I would bother with. My sig other's daughter is into Elfen Lied, Hellsing and Excel Saga, which are gruesome in places (which most Anime is), and I've seen some of them too and they aren't bad. By the sound of it though, JTHM would seem to me a bit over the top, and is not likely to be my cup of tea.

BTW, you can't say c*nt in Canada... Kevin Bloody Wilson.

Aridarr, I've had delusions too, and whenever I start to think that I don't have AS, I start to think that I am schizotypal or schizophrenic. I think there might be some kind of gray area where people can meet a lot of criteria from both disorders, and delusional thinking isn't uncommon for autistics, at least if you judge by the polls I made here about delusional thinking...

I know what it feels like to think you are getting messages that were put there just for you to read, but what you need to do is take a step back and tell yourself that while it might be true, it probably isn't, and that given the high possibility that it isn't true, you should try your utmost not to act on your most likely delusional beliefs.

Avoiding action based on your delusions would include 1) avoiding contacting the author or 2) avoiding trying to find other fans to listen to you when clearly they are not treating you well.

Those with schizophrenia usually don't know there's anything wrong with them; poor insight is a part of it.

It sounds like your "obsession" is being dictated by others, that will make one feel bad.

Oh cool. Jhonen Vasquez fan, eh? I like Invader Zim myself.

And don't worry about having Asperger's.

The more you say that your mentally ill, the more you hurt yourself inside.

We go through the same crap you go through, STRESS.

But don't worry, we are here to help you out man.

And again, we are not some doctors in their love white coats to take you away to the happy farm where life is beautiful all the time (notice my reference to Napolian 5/Dr. Demento's famous hit)

But seriously we are Aspie, the superior ones!

The geniouses of our master subjects, The quiet power brains, etc.

So be proud, your one of us.

There, there.

One of my best online friends has schizophrenia, and hallucinations, and she also is a huge fan of JTHM. Would you like me to put you in touch with her?
