If money could buy love and happiness everyone in hollywood would be happy and in a stable relationship.

It's true that being employed with a professional degree will make you look more stable to women, but if you seem unstable and self-hating in every other regard, any "image" benefit gained from the job and salary will be erased.

I thought geology was one of your obsessions. You should be in it for the obsession, not the theoretical potential of an NT girlfriend or wife.

Maybe I should just permanently limit myself to other Aspies when it comes to dating.

I think we all have doubts like this, but no matter what happens, with a bachelor's degree, you'll make a lot more money no matter WHAT you choose to do. There's nothing that says you won't get a job in the Geology field, but if you decide you don't like it, it's not the end of the world.

I am in a program I don't know if I'll ever use either, but I know with a degree I will have many more jobs open to me, and can make a higher wage!

Make sure you pick your job for your own happiness, not to attract women.

depends on the country. This kind of flexibility is only available in anglo-saxon countries. Plus, in parts of the Third World getting a college degree is, in most cases, economically irrational.

It does not have to be a like-minded female Aspie. You could have an NT who works as a hair stylist or a secretary or in healthcare and get along fine with her.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Household_ ... ted_States

According to this, more than 40% of the population in the US makes under $40,000 a year. Since nobody is willing to date these people, they obviously won't be producing any children who will contribute to Social Security. This isn't good. Social Security is already stretched thin enough, and since these people are going to spend their entire lives alone with nobody to love or support them, they will have to either work their entire lives, or die on some street, starving and freezing.

And let us not forget about the strategic implications of 40% of the US population living their entire lives without reproducing. That's 120 million people who will vanish without replacing their numbers. We'll be down to 180 million people. The Chinese will be able to conquer us with ease.

Why isn't Congress doing something about this? We have a huge crisis on our hands, simply because most NT women won't date someone who makes under $50,000 a year!

don't welfare moms reproduce more than high-income people?

what do you like, tim?

Tim? Do you have any special interests on which you can capitalize?

You can't choose a career path because you believe that it will make you more of an eligible bachelor. You need to go after something that captures your interest, set legitimate goals, and pursue them with drive and determination. Getting married is not a goal, especially when you're not even dating anyone, and for that matter finding someone to date is not a goal either. You need to find yourself, or no one else ever will.

Also, I don't understand your 'need' for an aspie partner or your prejudice toward NT women. What gives you the right to lump them all into the same category? You're judging them the way you ASSUME they judge you. That's called foolishness and bigotry. My wife is NT, and she never asked me for an income statement - of course we were both the same rank at the time so she knew how little I was making. We share some interests but on some things we differ completely. We were drawn to each other because we were on the same path, pursuing similar goals. I'd lose my mind if I had to deal with someone like me. We butt heads a lot, granted, and some times it's more than I really want to handle, but we work at it and we make it work.

Women want men who are honest, especially with themselves. You really ought to try it out for a while.

Yes, but since NT women won't have anything to do with anyone who makes under $50,000 a year, that means that the children of welfare moms clearly have high-income fathers. They might not know they have high-income fathers, but they do.

Let's not kick the guy when he's down.

Tim, have you considered counselling? Most colleges have either free or cheap services for students. Advice from people online will only get you so far. (Although, I have to say, I agree with flailure.)

Would it also help to add that I am specifically looking for someone who is socially liberal and looks like a swimsuit model?

Keep in mind that such a criteria may be tough. Obviously people are imperfect, and it's tough to find someone that really looks like the models in magazines. Plus it seems odd because didn't you specifically state that one of the reasons you wanted to stick to dating aspies is because they are not superficial and concerned with looks? We would all like to date people who share our philosophies and embody our idea of beauty, but it may be unrealistic, especially since you constantly state that you are unable to get a date. Adding more requirements will only make that worse.

In other words, you want to marry or date an NT who is someone of a higher "social-acceptance" or "friendship-acceptance" status so you will be able to fit in with the mainstream NT management-professional crowd.

Tim, it's a double standard to fault NT women for supposedly being overly concerned with a man's income, yet to limit your own female preference to those who look like supermodels.

I'm also not sure where you get this idea that only NT women think about money. I am not materialistic at all-- my clothes have holes in them and I buy the cheapest version of everything. But, I'm very practical where money is concerned. I'd be reluctant to marry a man who was broke, unless I had a decent income myself. I'd also be wary of a man who was perpetually unemployed, because that (to me) is a sign of emotional instability. But neither point is materialistic per se.

Depends what you mean by swimsuit model. But there is nothing wrong with demanding that the individual be thin and not fat/ugly.
