I did a presentation at work and a few people said it was really good.
A workmate said she is really impressed by the way I can just terach myself stuff, whereas she has to do a course and still struggles.

I've been called beautiful by about 8 people I knew.

People also told me I had a good heart or that my heart was in the right place (but that I didn't know how to use it without causing s**t for myself and others, that I should grow a brain too basically).

"You can't just get told that your best friend has a syndrom and then not read up on it." My best friend a couple of days after I told him I have AS, the happiest moment in my life.

"I'm not worried about Emilie as long as you are with her, I know you will take care of her." The mother of one of my female friends. She is right too, I would rather die than see Emilie hurt!

"If we are ever going on a trip like this again, I want to share a room with you again." A classmate of mine on our trip to Rome with the class. Said in regard to me being funny.

"Well I think you will make a wonderful father some day!" My friend Emilie after I had told her that I doubted I would ever have children of my own.

My uncle: "And this is your first try at drawing like this?"
Me: "Yes I told you, now what do you think?"
My uncle: "I think that if I could draw like this I wouldn't do anything else!"

"Your essay gives an excelent picture of you as a determined and intelligent young man." Written by my teacher on the last page of the first essay I gave her.

On the last day of school it is tradition that the graduating year give prices to the one voted 'best' in different categories, I won "Best looking boy" I guess this is a somewhat nice thing to have labeled on you, seeing as they weren't giving out prices for anything intelligent, like intelligence

Cool thread idea!

One of the popular kids told me if there was a comedy team Id be the captain.

Not a big deal to you guys, but I felt pretty good afterwords.

I've poted this weird exchange before but anyway....

One of my science teachers, when I left junior high school ,signed my year book (as you do ). I was pretty good at science. This was the mid 80's.

What he wrote was:
"Einstein didn't talk till he was 5. How good are you going to be?"

At the time I had no idea what he meant and took it as some weird insult about me being too quiet. These days, knowing what we know about Einstein, maybe he knew more about my neurology than I did 8O

These days I take it as a compliment :D

I've always found compliments difficult to react to. I just get embarrassed and leave or now I'm learning to say "thanks", even if I think they're full of it.
Some that stick to me...
The gifted teacher in high school called me a "diamond in the rough"
My dad always calls me beautiful (even now)
I just (last night) wrote to an old boss (haven't seen or corresponded with in 10 years) because I needed an official verification of my experience, and he responded and said "I sure do remember you! I'll give you a reference any time you need it." (I take that as a compliment).
