the cat thinks its in charge
many cats feel they own you and your they're well b*****s
you have to show the cat your the boss
it will shut up and behave after

and declawing is a normal procedure for house cats
cause...well they don't need claws to wreck your couch (trust me there)

That's an opinion and I'd thank you kindly not to throw accusations of abuse around at people who genuinely love their pets.

I don't declaw my cats myself. But I've got enough scars on my body and scratched up furniture and door frames to understand it.

Same here. I accept that as part of the price of owning a cat.

If you want an animal without claws, get a fish.
