I never considered this to be a self-harm thing until I researched it on the internet---but I constantly have an irritated finger from scratching/picking. Sometimes it even bleeds as a result. It also has a callus that I pick at a lot. I really don't know why I do it.

When I was young, I used to do a rather bizarre thing that never left scars or anything, but was rather weird. I am confident that it is so unique that I am the only person in the world to do it. I may talk about that sometime---unless you want to play twenty questions to try and figure it out.

I don't numb out to the pain, so I haven't so far been able to cut. I do however scratch, bite, punch, even kick my shins sometimes in order to get the right level of pain. I don't really know why I do it yet...I'm still trying to figure that out. It might be a way to get all that bubbling anger I have and can't express. I'm not quite sure, but that's my leading theory.
For the person who said they don't think it's a good idea...I don't think anybody really does think self harming is good for them, but sometimes it's better then the alternatives. (I just got a new psychologist, so I'm going to work on it)
