Thanks :)

Have you ever posted anything from your book here? Please don't get upset if you've told me already--but I forgot.

To that I have to ask, which book? I have five, and am currently working on the sixth, and have the seventh, eighth, and what might be the ninth planned out. :P

In all honesty, I haven't posted anything.

Oh dear, this is the non sequitur to beat all non sequiturs, but I just found this image and I cannot rest until I put it here (for at least temporary safekeeping). This is Ripley with Jonesy, from the first Alien movie. They're the ones who made it out alive. Red cat. It would absolutely be a cat, double points that he's red.

Now that I got that out of my system... a hug for each of you :-) ^^ @kura, @kraftie

have tried to make a cogent remark and just can't. Am decaffeinated today (small emergency, had to) and I am really down a bunch of IQ points without my methylxanthines.

Oh, I am a fibber. Not out of my system at all. Have a .gif.

Ulcers suck.....I wish you didn't get them.

I wish those little kitties were actually there for you.

Trust me on this: yarrow, chamomile (capsules, not the tea) and cabbage are miracle workers. I've had a recurring ulcer for the last decade (from being deskbound at work, yippee) and these three things work faster and better than any Rx med I was ever given. As soon as I feel "that feeling" I head for the grocery store (for cabbage) and my supplement hoard (for the other goodies). Am much, much better today. Much!

(Edit in: I have two very sweet kitties who really are here, and wow do they help. Thanks Kraftie!)

Cabbage is stinky.

Ooooo, not the way I do it! Braised (cheating, use microwave) in sesame oil, with garlic and ginger and soy sauce and a dash of red pepper (which does not hurt, weirdly). The Poor Retiree's Bok Choy :-)

um yum yum... mmmmmmmmm

(edit in: or, braised in butter and shredded up and stirred into a hot mess of buttery peppered mashed potatoes... colcannon, that is. mmmmmmmmm again.)

Edit in again: and after all that aforementioned glory heals your tummy, you can cook a mess of it with onions and broccoli and cauliflower and CURRY it :-)

I love how liver smells when it's cooked with onions.

I just can't eat it, though---no matter how great it is cooked.

I like the aroma of coffee, too. But I dislike the taste of it.

Liver has to have bacon and onions or I can't, absolutely can't touch it. With those two things, I adore it.

I've found some Arabica coffees that smell gorgeous, there's a hint of chocolate to them. Some are actually grocery stor house brands (surprise!) The Arabica beans are naturally sweet (Robusta is much more acidic) and make a much easier-on-Esme's-tummy cuppajo. But it's tea for me when this thing strikes.

Speaking of which, I need to go do awful things to some cabbage leaves with my microwave oven...

Meat + me = bleagh

But I do occasionally get random cravings for bison burgers.

I remember when I was a teen back in the stoned age, bison was just becoming a thing.
