This issue still perplexes me. Seriously. Can we discuss it?

the poor thing can't get past some issues. it is like he put all his hopes and wishes into one particular life path to the extent of other equally valid life paths, and won't consider letting himself be happy with any other. :(

I don't even want him to change his goal, either. It's a valid goal & he should pursue it. I just feel VERY STRONGLY that if he changed his path towards it he'd have a much better chance of achieving it. He needs to acknowledge all of these things and realize that doing the same thing isn't working & that by first dealing with ____ & ____ he may create a possibility of achieving his final objective.

Don't think I don't realize the irony of my own post as it pertains to the original topic of this thread. :P I just feel that writing a concise polished de-personalized version of what I've been sharing here for 4+ years is completely moot for the WP audience because, for the most part, people here have already decided that they think I'm f*****g nuts for what I've shared, and I think they're nuts for rejecting it instead of trying it for themselves. *shrug* And so it continues lol

To Do List

Buy second hand cookbooks and search for recipes on google
Look up which cooking equipment has the best reviews
Learn to cook
Buy better equipment
Learn to cook new foods
Learn to cook so many recipes that I can cook without recipes, and use up leftovers in my fridge by improvising a meal
Learn to sharpen my knives with a sharpener. Yay! Easy chopping!
Try vegan food
Try raw food
Experiment with fermented foods to aid digestion
Watch YouTube videos to show me how to do things I don't understand
Try to eliminate gluten and casein (wheat and a few other grains, and dairy) to see if I have more energy and feel more balanced
Reduce sugar intake to see if my mood improves
Research different cooking fats and oils to find out which ones are good for me and which ones aren't
Make a large salad or soup and put it in a few containers to store in the freezer so I can have quick meals to reheat when I'm busy
Take one of those containers to work or when I go out for the day
Research genetically modified food and see if I can afford to buy organic
See if I feel any better if I stop drinking Coca Cola
Try mineral water
Read about comfort eating
Grow my own herbs on the window ledge to save some money buying them and remind me to eat more of them
Research how much water they need so they live long

i would be more easily able to change my diet if i lived by myself and did all my grocery shopping, which i don't. i don't have as much control as to what ends up in my fridge as perhaps you do. still i've learned to manage my symptoms and "normalize" myself through other means.

Could you find some recipes online and discuss them with the food shopper and discuss what they could buy and maybe you could cook the meals together.
