I don’t really want to admit it here, but I don’t have anywhere else to say it since I’m even less keen on the idea of opening myself up for another slap in the face after the (un)welcome I got at the one semi-active lymphoma “support” forum I managed to find, so I’m going to be perfectly honest here. I’m worried about what the results of the PET scan may be, because I’ve been having more of the symptoms that I had before I started treatment (dizziness, weakness, loss of appetite, “hot flashes,” etc.), so it could just be how chemo is affecting me this time, or it could be the lymphoma digging in its heels. I really don’t want to have to have more chemo :(

My heart goes out to you. Having symptoms and not knowing are terrifying. I wish you strength to stay in the moment.

Hope your symptoms subside soon ... roller coaster ride of chemo can be hard , I watched my father go through it.
He was much older .... be good to yourself ....... hope your lymph glands recede ...and you continue to get through this , as best as you can .

Sorry your experience at the other forum went poorly .
A hug is offered to you . :)

I only just thought to check my neck, and yep, there’s a lump there again :( I hope I can still get by with just radiation, maybe just more than I would have gotten otherwise. I don’t find out until Tuesday.

Hope tomorrow goes well, D&D. Thinking of you, staying positive and hoping all will work out just fine 8). My youngest brother has just had a cancer diagnosis and needs his left kidney removed asap. in Aus. I’ve just learned. He has AS and schizophrenia, and is in shock apparently.

^^^ Thanks Jakki ... very kind of you. Hasn’t been easy as I lost a brother this year, but we’re all coming to terms ... slowly. X

Met with the radiologist, and there isn’t enough information in on the PET scan yet. He’s going to look it over and discuss with my oncologist, and then she’ll talk with me about it, and we’ll also see what the cardiologist says tomorrow. We at least are not looking at more chemo, just deciding whether to do radiation or not. If I do get radiation, it will most likely be both to my neck and my mediastinal area, since the neck is showing as more active but the bulkier disease was in the mediastinum (but that responded better to chemo). The SED numbers for the active areas are not in yet, and that will tell if/how much radiation is needed.

That's great----especially if they took Chemo off the table permanently.

Apparently the PET scan was completely clear :o My oncologist is still going to discuss with some other doctors, but I think it’s quite likely I won’t even have to have radiation :D

Hooray..... :D , understand the treatments are difficult ! But docs need to be thorough , especially with Cancer.
Hope the doctors meeting turns out in your favour .
