Quite the tribute, people ! !
An argument about who hated who ...

I don't know if any of you have ever had a mate commit suicide, so I'll let you in on something. When someone makes up their mind, that is, they decide to take their life and not just make a drama of the whole thing, they will do it. There's no blaming. There's no stopping them, short of incarceration with someone watching them constantly. Nobody 'drives' someone to committing suicide. For @#%& sakes, read about the people who have survived in political prisons and death-camps. They were tortured, starved, and beaten. BUT they had a will to live. When a person loses that will, it's over.

Stop the bloody arguing ! !!

She was a lovely lass, and very troubled.

She was a unique voice on this website.

She is missed.

I completely agree.

there has been blame placed on a certain member of a different forum, i see that as partially why this argument is on now.
and I know she wouldnt want this thread, anyne who spoke to her recently would kne, and I didnt want to post in it because of that, i sont want tio get into an argument here but i did want to know why i waited with posting here.
m jhust gonna say this now.

I liked starbuline a lot. I wanted her to get through this and got worried for her when she didnt come on that day, sh may not known thta, but i geuss shje knows now... as well as otherthings :)
now I am worried for sopho and spacecase and BenJ and kilroy and all her family and friends who tried to help her and talked to her when she needed them and worried about her way more than i ever could imagine.

I know wherever she is she is happier then she was her.

My condolences. Only found out just now from another thread. I can't stop thinking about how her twin sister must be coping right now.

The fact is, and remains, that she has left us.

Let's speak not ill of the dead. But instead choose to remember her good moments, her cheerfulness, and the good times ....

I removed several inappropriate posts. Those whose posts were removed should be aware of the PM system, which is a better medium for that type of discussion.

Thanks to all who shared their memories and good wishes for Sophie. It's important for the members of a community such as WP to be supportive of one another when tragedies occur, as the effects are far-reaching.

I have locked the thread. It will remain that way unless Alex decides to reopen it.

Quick update on the situation for you guys, as I phoned Sophie's Mum yesterday to see how she and the rest of the family are doing. They say that they are taking it an hour at a time. I wanted to talk to her sister, Tanya, but she said she wasn't up to it. Sophie's mum as only beared to go into her room once.

Sophie's body has just been cremated, and she will be put in an Urn next to her grandmother at the local cemetery. Her mother has heard of Sophie's internet life, and she has visited WP once and felt that it was a nice place (I explained to her why Sophie left and formed zOMG however, which she understood).

Also, through talking to her, I will be getting the little necklace that Sophie wore (she put it in her mother's jewellery box before she left), which I had mailed to Sophie when we were in love.

Finally, I have the address of where they live, so if you would like to send them a letter of condolence and the like, PM me and I will be able to give it to you. That's all for now.

why is this opened :?

did you show her mom zOMG
because um...it was a tad more important to her
I would like to send her family a letter-but what would I say...

I'd have to talk to Soph first
I personally don't think you should be the one having that sort of power
I would think-who would she want to have it...who would she want writing to her...???
Whatever...I don't know why this got unlocked

It got unlocked so that I could reply with the news. I didn't show her zOMG, similarly to how I didn't show her WP. She'll do it on her own will.

It was temporarily unlocked on special request for the posting of that update. Nothing more.
