I agree. Actually, though, it helps against depression, for me, but not if used too often, and it's becoming too often, recently. Just in the case of that things somehow change for me, I have to cut down on my recent increase in my intake of it. I definitely shouldn't have become an alcoholic, by the time I maybe find my true love.
Caffeine isn't any good for me, though.... it makes my mind race so much that I sometimes get bad anxiety from it. My mind races too much, without it, already... that's why alcohol can be so "good" to me, in moderate amounts; it calms my mind down... as long as I use it in moderate amounts, it makes me feel "normal". Chocolate, though... that works decently well, for me, at least.
I wish I had some, now.'Prosper' sounds good, by the way, but not 'live long'. I'm not ever going to live a long life... I can't become old. :/ Unless the aging process can be stopped, very soon, that is... then I'd be okay with living a longer life.
When you become an old geezer like me, you might feel differently about wanting to live long.
Fortunately, attaining geezerhood is a gradual process, so one sneeks up on it. In order to minimize the effects of aging, you need to take care of your body while you are still younger. Exercise is important, and so is moderation in food and alcohol intake. I drink one beer or mixed drink per night (with dinner.) Studies have shown that moderate alcohol intake is better for you than being a tea totaller. On the other hand, if you are susceptible to being an alcoholic, you are better off without it. By the way, I am in my mid 50's.
