Hi Kura!
Image

Image

Shoveled snow for about 3.5 hours today... all done, but I had to go out and sweep away a little bit of new stuff. My back wants to seize up, but I have witchy herbal tricks for that.

Tired? I invented tired. Gonna make another pot of coffee so I don't fall asleep and droolz on keyboardz.

How are you Kura? I saw elsewhere (another thread) you've been writing at about Mach 5.

Yep, I'm in super writing mode.

It's kind of funny--it took from 2013-2016 to really get where I was going with the series and more or less finish what became Book II. Then, in 2017, I basically wrote three books. Now, one year later, i'm basically writing four books in just as many months.

^^ I took breaks, trust me :-) but that's about how long I worked (minus the breaks).

But I got it done!

(Edit in: I cheat. I use an avalanche shovel. Smaller blade, moves the snow real fast. Apparently unusual, people laugh the first time they see it, then I finish way faster than they do and they stop laughing.)

Here's my current lineup:

Tales from the Songsphere
White Darkness
Hollowed
Shattered Core [almost done; only a week or two to finish and type out]
Edge of Eternity
Go Gently [halfway done; planned for April]

May-July:
currently untitled seventh book [one of many potential titles: Awakened Light]
currently untitled eighth book [possible title: Absolute Nowhere]

Makes perfect sense. Once you had the basic idea and framework the stories came much more quickly. (Hemingway: the story was writing itself and I had a hard time keeping up with it. Sir Terry said something similar.)

I like the titles - all of them.

I still have a whole computer folder full of old story ideas i rescued from my older, broken down laptop. I'm not sure what to do with them.

By the way: check out page 2756 of the WP Anonymous. I've got some ideas for a webcomic.

Keep them. They'll let you know what they want done, eventually :-)

I'm willing to hand over my Sweet Pea crown to you. It's pretty hard to wear a crown and a helmet at the same time.

^^ Oh, but you're the original Sweet Pea! We can accept no substitutes. Morale in the barracks would be utterly destroyed!

Boo curled up on my lap today, and even let me hug her.

That's a REALLY young little kitty.....maybe a week old or so.

It's amazing that person was able to get a picture like that.

Mothers tend to be quite vigilant when kittens are that little.

Boo was very affectionate this morning. She climbed on my lap and made the little kitten-ish noises she makes when cuddling with me and demanded attention. She got a bit meowy when I tried to read my book instead of petting her.

By the way, Esme, I just finished reading Lords and Ladies. I've read reviews complaining that it's exactly like Carpe Jugulum and it's not original at all. I can't see that no matter how I turn it, whether inside out or backwards.
So apparently in most books, witches take control of swarms of bees on a regular basis? Who knew. :P

I'm steadily completing my Discworld collection. I'm going to ask for six or seven for my birthday.
