Ass-P you're ill, homeless and in a center and worried about going to college. You need to worry about your f*****g health dude. You're the only one in your family right? If yes, Ok, when you die what happens to it? You're worried about things that don't matter. Worry about your health, stay at the facility, get a cell phone or computer and enjoy the time you have right now. If you must keep memmoribilia keep one or two things. Don't horde.

...Back in San Francisco, with the card I had then...
After not using it for quite a while, I had some money and tried to deposit some in the card, I think it was $120. I was at a correct store for it, if went in, I think it was Friday afternoon, I got a paper receirecei]t that I swiftly threw away, there were no Internet-connected places then I could go to to check it online.
One?? day later I went to a store and thought of making a purchase with the filled card. I found out that ma card was empty :( . The money I'd put in had not gone in at all, receipt or no. There was nothing I could do about it  . The money I had put in had somehow been sucked away.
This finished my relationship with this card that had stolen my money, of course.
Eventually I went to another store and bought a different card, sending for the permanent card to be sent to me at the address in San Francisco I used for important papers/cards. It never came there, over a long period of time.
When I moved to Santa Cruz, I tried to contact the card company again, to have them send it to me at the HL mail drop in SC.

...However, it seems that that, after me first thinking that the card that didn't come to San Francisco would come to SC it has fallen through here as well. Thus my comment about " blowing up in my face " :( .
It seems, you know, that people here who dis me as " not doing enough to help myself " don't realize that I do do things - sometimes successfully, sometimes no - as in my attempt to get a credit union account & card, as I have outlined in my " Weighing..." line. It seems that various of the people who snipe at me here have different ideas of what I should do and what I shouldn't do. I have, at least sometimes...

...managed to do things, at least within the limitatations my " outside of society " status AND the institutional thing AND, yes, my being crippled puts on it :( . The haters don't give me credit. I'm not here asking for help (non-financial) here, but it does happen to be true that even a little , adding to what I already have, could help me accomplish some things - However, people who thought of helping me but decided not to, not even telling me about it, no harm done - are outraged at me anyway. Go hate me some more, I suppose, than read of some of my traumas in my sig . Also incidentally, someone who decided to help me could have done so without giving me their address; that is simply a fact.

Hey ASS P, this is an aspie forum. Most of the people here are disabled to the point that they are chronically either unemployed or underemployed, and or on welfare themselves. Many dont drive, either because they cant handle it or cant afford a car. Just how much help do you suppose such people could give you? And never mind the fact that this is a public internet chat forum where nobody owes anybody anything in the real world. And you sneak out of the care place to get McDonalds, but you cant sneak out to set up a bank account or mail box? Does not compute.

There's a severely autistic man in my neighborhood who is minimally verbal but he is able to walk down the street to McDonald's by himself and get a snack. At least he was before he was sent off to a group home. Most people on the spectrum have uneven development and this makes it difficult for them to really get the accommodations they need.

Just out of curiosity, what did you do before you became homeless? Do you have any work history?

....The Psychaitric-Industrial Complex stuff, briefly, started things going so that I never built a work history  . Nor did I get to build an educational background/go to school for training :( .

Okay, that has been explained to you before, you threw the receipt away. If you had the receipt you would have gotten your money back. This is not the card's fault nor is it the store's fault.

^^ Good morning Claradoon.

Yes indeed, the psychiatric-industrial complex. It exists and it needs to be reckoned with. And, it overlaps so nicely with the prison-industrial complex, and the eldercare-industrial complex. (Chemical restraints, psychoactive meds used as, in prisons, mental hospitals, and nursing homes, sometimes illegally, often with seriously harmful results.)

ASS P is not stupid and is clearly high functioning. I dont see a "severly autistic" man here.

I'm unclear what went on here. You put money on what kind of card? If its a rechargible debit then it most certainly would not just vanish.

Well that's what he was asking when he was trying to have his stuff shipped to them. That would necessitate providing your name, your street address and probably your phone number.

As for the mods, I've seen zero evedence they have told ASS-P to stop or sent him warnings.

Rather it seems it's others who are being warned by mods regarding this.

And I bet the farm this is going to start up again in his newest thread, which will go another 200 posts of this same stuff.

And then he will start another thread....

Right on Ez. I have been warned by the mods with regard to responses to ASS P.

Jeez why hasnt this thread been locked yet?

And I can just see next July or August--another ASS P thread asking strangers to dig up his school records, help him fill out forms from afar, and etc, because I KNOW he will never let the college thing go, even though he has no means to pay for it or move his butt around campus.

My hypothesis of hes never had a job in his life was confirmed here, so how would he adapt to getting up when he has to for class? I'm sure he loves being able to do whatever whenever.
