It is probable that ASS-P can only attend a Community College. Very much a longshot to attend a "residential university."
I wish it were like when Fred Flintstone went back to college---the reality is different, though. Living in a dorm would probably be a sensory disaster for ASS-P----unless, of course, he's into the beer drinking and other shenanigans.
I feel like ASS-P can handle the academic work in, say, an Intro composition course. But he'll have to gain more discipline and initiative to handle higher-level courses.
But even the process of registering for classes and meeting with advisors requires a certain amount of paperwork, tact, and gumption.
I think it would be best to focus on other goals: housing, health, and getting stable. He could always attend educational lectures at his library or community center.
