The NHS here has a coronavirus symptom checking website that leads to advice:

I’m posting it here so that anyone who is concerned they may have it can (hopefully) access it, go through the questionnaire and then translate the advice to fit their own countries healthcare system.

(Found it earlier today to help sister-in-law, who has all the mild level symptoms)

Other than UK people can’t access it unless they have a valid postcode.

But thanks, nevertheless.

Very often, UK public sites give more concise information than US sites.

I'm extremely concerned that people won't take social distancing seriously.

I'm only concerned. I am not going to be scared or frightened for something I cannot control. All I can do is self isolate, shower every night after work, wash my hands whenever I come home, stay home as much as I can. Also hope I do not get the virus.

I believe we will get through this and this is 2020, not 1920 or the 1300s when they had the Black Plague. I believe this would end a lot sooner if everyone took this seriously and stayed home as much as they can.


One silver lining I see in all this of people not taking it seriously is there will be less idiots out there. My only concern is them infecting innocent people who are taking this seriously. I feel sorry for families that have to deal with this in their adult kids or teens. But yet I feel bad for that Trump supporter who took his own life because he took Trumps advice. The wife survived but not longer supports Trump and is now saying "don't listen to him."

The purpose of closing those places is to keep people home. People will keep traveling, going to places because they are not taking this seriously or they think just because they have no symptoms, they are fine.

Reason for not closing retail is because they are considered essential. The other places are not essential.

Fire fighters are essential so they will still work.

Paramedics are essential so they will still work.
You can leave your apartment if there is an emergency. Would you rather burn to death or die from this virus?

Well if the a disaster happens, then more people will be infected and it will become part of the COVID history.

My mom has bought paper towels and cut it into squares, you can use facial cloth or tissue as TP. At least with cloth, they can be washed. You don't need to use toilet paper. Find creative ways.

Few Oregon coastal towns had to close down their resorts, hotels, lodges, etc. to kick out all the tourists and threatened to arrest them if they didn't get out within 11 hrs. Too many people were going there and the local town folks were worried about the virus spreading there. The beaches were crowded than before.

IMO, I think this will just move the problem unless Kate Brown orders all the towns to shut down their resorts and RV sites and all. Now people won't travel because of nowhere to stay. She would have to shut down the beaches too.

As strange as it sounds To Me, sky is not exaggerating one iota when he says people in his area (and all over the USA) think that this is a politically motivated hoax intended to hurt trumps economy and re-election campaign or is some sort of government power grab play.

News of those conspiracy theories are being published up here in Canada. They’re very real phenomenons, and according to some news this morning trump’s approval is up because of it.

This all stems from the early weeks of this pandemic when trump lied to Americans and told them these things - and people believed him and still do.

The sad part is that as a result this virus is going to spread more in the USA than any other country. He told people not to worry so they’re not and going about daily life like it’s business as usual. The end result of that is that a lot more people are going to die.

I do wonder if that’s going to to change these people’s minds. Like, as the death toll skyrockets are they still going to believe that this is nothing but a hoax and isn’t real? Or are they going to accept that they were lied to by trump and this is an actual global viral pandemic that’s killing people they know & love and that they should now start taking it seriously and listen to Doctors & public health experts advice instead?

Time will tell.. but no matter what way you slice it: the USA is headed for the highest COVID-19 death toll In The World.. by a country mile.

So use a waste basket. I am not sure why it's an issue to just throw it away than flush. We still have trash collection.

My mom's cousin has this belief so she posted a heartless rant about it on Facebook because she lost her good bartending job. My mom and her other cousin who is a twin sister of that cousin also stepped in and responded to her with the facts about the virus. Somehow that offended her so she blocked my mother. I am sure she blocked her twin sister too. Also this cousin that blocked my mother is no longer a Trump supporter but she is sure acting like one.



I've only seen them being said in social media by people, not on TV. I also heard it on the Dr. Phil show from a tiktok user who licked the toilet seat. She thinks this is all a big hoax and that people are over reacting. She even said to Dr. Phil she believes he is behind it too. They don't realize they are sounding like a paranoid schizophrenic when they say it.



Which I hope will hurt his election because if they had watched his speeches, they would hear it with their own ear, you can't deny it.



After hearing him say it, I don't think I can respect anyone anymore who is still a Trump supporter. How can they still be voting for him for all this horrible stuff he has done?



Or they blame it on the democrats and deny Trump said any of that and that it was taken all out of context by democrats to hurt him.

Lady at my sister's place was so mean and nasty to us.

She has no idea that my sis has been tested and doesn't have it. And there is little risk and we are taking all precautions. My sis is just babysitying my younger and this lady had the audacity to talk to us in thid way.

People become jerks with this imagining they know the other person's likelihood of carrying the virus and in reality with kids you have to leave home sometimes.

She was an Indian so it might have been that motivating her behaviour. This isn't the first time Indians (Hindus) are randomly rude to us. If we were white she would not have behaved that way. But things like this show you what is in people's secret hearts.

Yeah spot on there. Exactly my experience with most of the Indian community.

My husband finally told his parents out of the idea of inviting us all. His parents are both in the high risk group.
