Tired.

Longing for connection and knowing it is there to get, but too easily shamed to take the risk of making the connection.

Tired.

I gave away so much of myself trying to make others happy, hoping to gain and keep their acceptance, hoping to minimize or eliminate conflict.

I did this once before, hoping to be really accepted instead of used by my dad's sister's family. It didn't work. It made me sick and weak, poorly connected to myself, someone who almost sought to be taken advantage of for the momentary feeling of having value.

I don't want to do it again. I don't want to undo it again, either.

Hope you don't mean me, AquaineBay! I'm doing a lot better today . I totally understand why you would think I have "you-know-what" , because OCD can be like that. OCD can be really weird at times, making it seem exactly like "you-know-what". I don't blame you for anything, and what you said actually helped because other people told me it wasn't true!

0. I feel nothing, absolutely nothing. I know it's my depression making me feel emotionally numb, but still, one would think I'd feel something, one way or another, about finding out yesterday that I'm losing my job a week from tomorrow.

Wait, we are doing -10 to +10, not 0 to 10, right? That's what I based this on.
