ASS-P has been publicly warned in the locked thread not to request help beyond what is reasonable on these forums.

I get your position, truly, I really do. However, here's the thing: ASS-P's prognosis, in my non-medical opinion, is that he is going to f*****g die. Sure, everyone is, eventually.. but I mean sooner rather than later. It's unlikely that with his diet/exercise & limited abilities to follow medical instructions that his health is going to improve. With diabetes complications, amputations healing (likely poorly), congestive heart failure & fluid retention etc I will be surprised if he sees his 60th birthday in ~24 or so months. I'll be impressed if he sees another Christmas & New Years at the rate he's going. Yes, people with CHF can live for years with the right medication, diet, exercise, possibly surgeries etc. ASS-P is unlikely to do much of any of the things he should do for his health, and thus my non-medical opinion of his not-so-long term prognosis is that he is going to f*****g die.

Then there's the fact that he's been f****d 8 ways from Sunday in this life, too. Institutionalized, popped a bunch of meds to keep him under control that probably scrambled his brains & guts like eggs. EzraS, you & I and most others are fortunate enough not to have been dealt a hand that resulted in any of this hot mess of an existence ASS-P has to endure. I say endure because there's not a whole f**k of a lot to enjoy about it. I guarantee ASS-P doesn't particularly like being the way he is & not a single one of us would want to trade places with him.

He will never go to college. He will never work. The dude's gonna die & he wants to see his brothers photos. I get that, too.

I realize that I have been thoughtless and a jerk and I am ashamed of myself.

My uncle is similar to Ass-P and is on his death bed as well.

This is horrible. And, my mom died two years ago. I can't be deal with this s**t. Kraftie and gf this is one of the main reasons I want to die myself.

Agreed. I do not think he will die in one or two years like GF does. However, I do think he will die within ten of a cardiovascular event. Charles Darwin had Congestive Heart Failure. He died of a heart attack.

I think it is a moral obligation for those who can help to help those who can't do for themselves. Our nation supposedly has Christian values. Didn't the Bible to say to give a coat to those who don't have one?

If you're in a position to help then you have a moral obligation to help. If you're not, then you don't have the obligation.

And what if some autistic person here feels morally obligated to try giving him hands on support? He's not the only one here capable of making bad decisions. So what happens then? When a mentally disabled individual on this forum decides it's their job to intervene?

I said those who can help. We're in no position to help.

Cant agree with you there. Firstly, im a Capital A Atheist, so I dont give a crap what the Bible says. Its not the law, the Constitution is (at least in the US at the moment...Trump may have plans to change this). And I earn a good salary now because I have a talent for biochemistry and genetics not possessed by 90% of the population. I earn it, its MINE and MY WIFES.

A good chunk of the people feel as the same as you do and I am a minority who dissents. But, the vast majority claim to be Christian. This view that the people have diametrically opposes what Jesus Christ says.

You're an atheist as you said, right? Well, let's look at it in a more logical and pragmatic way. If the person who needed aid and what not was given it and became a productive member of society wouldn't it be better for society as a whole?

Another thing! What if Heaven forbid you became this person? What if through circumstances of not your design you became as destitute as ASS-P and needed aid or worse? What if it got to where you couldn't provide for yourself and your family couldn't aid you no more then what? Try to imagine that! Now, try obtaining aid and help and others won't provide it. Imagine this in your head. Now, you're outside huddled against a building or trashcan with a blanket and it is freezing and you are developing hypothermia because you had difficulty getting to someplace warm.

Now, do you see why those are in a position to help should be "MORALLY and "NOT LEGALLY" required to help. Morally meaning whether it is by a God or by one's good conscience.

As for the Constitution, this is an imperfect document written by imperfect man. It is not God or a holy document like people in our society treat it as. If a set of principle's move us forward as a society then use and keep them but if they hold us back from advancing including in ethics then why keep them and treat them as they were dropped down on commandments by a god?

And, that reminds of when I was in church. The pastor told all of us to have a "God" party. And this is what the dude said. We don't invite our families and our friends during the holidays. And, we go to under the overpasses and street corners and invite a bunch of homeless people to our home and celebrate the holidays with them. At first, it sounded so good with all the music playing, the praising of the pastor and the cheering and everyone sounding happy and excited.

When all that was gone and overtime I got to thinking. What do I do with these people the next day afterwards? Take them back to the overpasses? Back to the street corners and do it again next year? So, they stay on the street corner and overpasses the other 364 days out of the year. And, a number of them need more then just food and a place to stay. They need f*****g HELP (even more then I do) and I mean psychiatric and psychological help. Some of them need to be on medication. They need to be in an institution of some kind.

I've never ever been back to church since then.

I certainly dont see the Bible as a godly or holy document. It says that slavery is OK, that you should kill people who disagree with your faith, and that a snake talked to someone. At least the mythologies of say the Greeks and Egyptians and Nordics make for entertaining reading and dont have laundry lists of geneologies.

Our secular Constitution is set up so it can be changed with the times and isnt based on the myths of iron age nomads.

No, he isnt. And he was pretty much doomed from birth.

I can certainly understand the plight of an Aspie under the lash of NTs who dislike him and dont understand him. I narrowly avoided being wrongly put on anti psychotics myself. And I agree that he has the smarts to do well in school. But its unrealistic given his physical and financial limitations. He said he thought that SFCC was very cheap if not free, and I doubt that very much. Community colleges are businesses that sell classes even more so than traditional 4 year schools--they are in fact more up front and less apologetic about it.

I understand what you're saying. But the majority of the population does see it as a godly and holy document and they interpret in certain ways depending upon the denomination. I just simply point out their hypocrisy.

Nah, you shouldn't be.

ASS-P's terrible communication style & habits result in the negative responses he gets. He gets them from me, a lot, too.

Besides, you're 17. I'm 35. Live and learn. We can all learn to tolerate "rough around the edges" people a little better, and to be compassionate towards them - especially in their darkest, and last, hours.

Once upon a time I would have been as rough and cutthroat with my responses to ASS-P as Ezra and Goldfish. I guess I've mellowed with age.

To be completely honest if I didn't think his health would continue to decline until he dies, I'd probably still be telling him to f**k off instead of offering my assistance in any way. His communication style & requests are "f**k off," worthy. But, his health is such that A) He can't communicate much better. B) He's going to die - maybe not as rapidly as I think, but, maybe even more so - depends on how well he follows medical advice. So far he hasn't shown much of an ability to do so, and that's why I conclude that his health will continue on a rapid decline w/o some serious intervention - ie complete 'round the clock carer in terms of diet/exercise/rest/medications etc. ASS-P's determined to do whatever the f**k he wants at times, and at others he's so easily distracted by unhealthy indulgences that he literally is killing himself faster. (Binging on McDonald's while in his current condition.)

...As I'll stats in a new thread, I have been kicked out of the rehab place, with only what I was carrying (Including only the clothes I was wearing, with all of my other clothes back at the rehab place.). There was no other such place for me to go, and they paid for a couplcouplings nights for me at a cheap motel, which I am at now. However, that will run out before the holiday long weekend does Now, if you are inclined to say " Naw, naa, I told you so " - whatever. However, aside from a place of residence, my medical treatment, as of this moment, has stopped 100%!
I have no pills or medicine of any kind for the CHF/swelling/edima(Sp??), I am not receiving diabetes tests or medication. I am not getting treatment for the wound on my foot.
