I'm feeling pretty good because I've been making friends lately. As long as I have friends to talk to online maybe moving back home to the middle of nowhere won't be so bad. :)

Awful. My dear little cat is gravely ill and the emergency homecall vet is on his way, arriving in half an hour. If it is as bad as I fear, I will have him euthanised today to spare more pain and suffering. I dread hearing the worst though am still clinging to hope of a better outcome.

It is also the fourth year anniversary today of my dearly loved cat Mr Orange's death, from pancreatic cancer. I think that my current little guy may have the same condition, he has the same symptoms.

I can face most things, and bear them, though not animal suffering.

The vet was wonderful, gentle and caring, animal-centred and thorough. He thinks my wonderful little boy may have a tumour in his liver, kidney or pancreas, he gave him a steroid injection meantime to try tempt him to take some water and food again, and we will have blood test results tomorrow. Infection has been ruled out (no raised temperature). For the time being I have the comfort of knowing that we have done all we can do for today, and I'll see what news tomorrow brings.

The home visit vet was very expensive though worth every cent. He was the best vet I have had attend to any of my past cats and my current little fellow.

It's left me with some hope of a better outcome than the worst.

Thank you very much for your caring messages. Will update this tomorrow after I know more.
