I did less work, and received the same results.

I guess there could have been some sort of clerical error which caused the colleges to get the “wrong” transcripts. Who knows?

Why can't you request the transcripts yourself, ASS-P? That would seem like the logical thing to do.

...If the ground could be prepared so that they WOULD send them to me, after I request them, that would be fine.
However, I am very much afraid that bringing it up to that HS's staff would simply be answered by them with a chirpy " Well, that's just keen! Just send in your application to wherever and they contact us and we'll have the info out sooner than you can say 'Skinky dinky dee "! Yes, sir! Trust us! It's gonna be great! " THAT'S JUST NOT TRUE.

...They screwed me before. (Whether it was intentional or not is irrelevant.) There is every reason to believe that they will do it again, unless preparations to change the existing situation are made.

Okay whatever. I'm still going to contact Westchester county and the NY state education department for my own personal satisfaction.

So the reason ASS-P cannot request the transcripts is they screwed him before.

Therefore someone else, at a remove from the original request, should take over?

ASS-P, phone and explain exactly how the mishandling of your original request went, and calmly and politely negotiate for them to do the job correctly this time. You need to do this yourself, man. If you can't do this little thing for yourself, you are not college material, and need to find a more appropriate goal.

I don't care if you were raped as a kid, I don't care if you never got to have the college experience, I don't care if other kids had this done by their parents, I don't care if someone made you take psychiatric meds, the simple truth is: If you can't phone and get your transcripts sent to the college of your choice - you are not college material.

I was thinking along Bea’s lines.

ASS-P has to make the call himself.

ASS-P shouldn’t assume that all admissions people are out to screw him individually. They don’t have time for that crap. They have more pressing matters to attend to.

ASS-P can tell them his concerns calmly. He is capable of that. He’s no dummy.

The process to get transcripts from high school to college is probably easier, in general, than it was in the 80s/90s.

ASS-P should report to us his concerns after he’s made attempts to contact the high school. He should convey these concerns without insulting any of us.

Emoticons are okay. Expressions of frustration are okay—but not at us.

The New York State Education Department DOES NOT have records of high school transcripts. To obtain a copy of your HIGH SCHOOL TRANSCRIPT, contact the school district where you graduated.

I've already contacted ASS-P's school district several times but they're mostly on vacation. At this point he should probably write a letter to them with his request and concerns.
