The tinnitus is driving me insane and I've given up on doctors entirely. If they can't see it or it doesn't impair the ability to take verbal commands then they don't appear to care at f***ing all. What about my ability to focus so I can read for my classes? This world is a f***ing joke.

they can care all they want. there isn't much help available. the best treatment we have is using cognitive behavioral therapy so tinnitus bothers you less.

They didn't act like they cared. In and out as quickly as could be with a "see us in six months if it's still bothering you."

I feel your frustration. I've had bilateral tinnitus for around ten years, 24/7. The best I can do to help it is taking Magnesium supplements. Magnesium doesn't cure it at all, but it sometimes reduces the pitch to a less brain-melting tone. Trust me, I've tried everything out there. I'm sorry you have this too. :(

Thanks Isabella. I've been eating a lot of dark chocolate recently since it has a bit magnesium in it. The pitch of mine reminds me of hearing tube TVs years ago. Super high frequency, like 16+ khz.

Do you get the fax machine squeal that comes and goes on one side or the other, on top of the constant bumblebee invasion?

I also say that mine sounds like a steam kettle, or like sugar pouring into a tin bowl.

For a little while it kept warbling between high frequency tones, but it's steadied off into a single pure tone, like a tuning fork that drones on forever. I can drown it out with other sounds, but stuff like caffeine and being tired make it louder. Been getting absolutely terrible sleep, I think because of it, and probably from not using a combo sleep aid, anti-anxiety, appetite stimulant anymore.

Yep. You got a pretty decent snowfall. 9 inches.

Portland only got like 1-3 inches.

It's above freezing, though....so at least some of it will melt today.
