1. Fundamentalists won't watch the Simpsons and South Park because of the language, and they don't do non-procreational sex (oral, anal, fetishes). From what I've seen, except for maybe two people, virtually everybody who was willing to do those things was either an atheist, agnostic, or pagan--and they refuse to date Christians, even "liberal" ones. My second girlfriend (who had AS) was a textbook fundamentalist.

2. I came to the conclusion that Aspies don't lie or cheat because

a) Since it's more difficult for an Aspie to find a relationship (as opposed to an NT), we have this "better not screw this up" mentality once we do meet someone, since we get the impression that we may never meet anyone else should this relationship work out.

b) Given the need for "alone time" that many of us have, I don't think that many of us can handle multiple partners when many can barely handle one partner.

Unfortunately, I was recently proven wrong on #2.

The thing about a married couple not having sex unless it's procreational is not supported in Christian marriage to my knowledge. It is appropriate and expected to have an enjoyable sex life as a married couple. Nothing unbiblical about that.
Don't go with a fundamentalist. Go with a more liberal denomination such as United Methodist or join an online Christian dating singles service.

This 'fundie=bad ass" thing is... annoying. Ignorant labeling when used by current popular means.

"Fundamental- adj. Serving as, or being an essential part of, a foundation; basic; primary; elementary. -n. a basic principle. -fundamentalist- n. and adj. (one) who accepts the bible as literaly true." My little college dictionary here. Kept it for years. Different religions have different bibles to, and yes they have their own Fundamentalists. Yet, the ones that get the bad rap are basic Christian fundamentalists, who don't generaly have a label like "mormon" or "Catholic" attached. sigh' They just read the Christian bible, believe it, and follow it.

You should seriously consider Aithieism. Trying to find the flaws in a bible would do your mind a justice!

Anyway back to the topic at hand. Dateing issues, as repeated with Tim for the past 4 years ot so.

Ok so she went with another guy. You dwell way too long on it, there is no question there. What can anyone do to make you feel better, or make you forget about it. Then again, having grown up wanting it can do that perhaps.

I just hope my only options are not either:

a) going back to my ex in Minnesota (her prudishness destroyed the relationship, but she and are still friends)

b) hooking up with some woman in California who practices Wicca.

(both have AS)

The noise is a bit unavoidable in the punk community, but the drugs and alcohol aren't always a constant in either. I meet several people at the rainbow gathering a few years ago that had never taken drugs, and even the ones that had were very respectful of whether or not you minded that sort of thing as long as you told them politely you'd rather not be around it. Punks its hit or miss whether they will be understanding or not and from my experience gutter punks are more likely to be cool with someone who doesn't drink.

As for the one who practices wicca, other than the number and name of the deity worshipped a lot of the moral ideals are similar. Harm ye none fits all the commandments that don't deal with who to worship. You might not want to dismiss her just based off faith. She could end up being your one.

And specifically, referring to the original topic at hand, my dream is to live in a loft in the central business district of wherever it is I choose to live. I live in an area where I would likely be starting out at $60,000-70,000 per year after I graduate (I have about 5 years experience under my belt as well), and said lofts are in the $250,000-350,000 price range.

My only options for affording that are winning the lottery or marrying for money.

I'd go for the one that practices wicca, they are awesome in the sack. :D Jewish woman are just as good. Tim, you are being way to rigid in what you are looking for. What was I thinking, Tim only hears what he wants to hear on this matter.

I really think this is the stress talking. I mean you're putting yourself through college (major kudos btw) and you're trying to make future plans even though you're not in the future, you're in your last semester of college and a completely new life is just months away. What makes you think you can't afford a nice place? With the current market, you're looking at a lot of affordable places.

Colorado springs is a pretty good area, I mean you're an attractive candidate if you have a nice place period. My friend just got a 5 bedroom house in the springs, it's such a nice place that people come over all the time. There's an army post here and I can tell you for a fact that you'd make a ton of money with these guys. Military contractors and DOD employees make some pretty good bank. If you work overseas (Iraq or Afghanistan), they pay you 6 figures. I mean you work a couple years and you have a house mostly paid for. Just something to think about.

As far as getting someone to have the same interests, I think bullying and intimidation works best.

Also, I went on OKCupid, and nearly the liberal people with the same interests said "Do not message me if you are Christian or conservative."

I am Christian and conservative.

That's good, that implies that you value financial responsibility. I'd say fiscally I feel similar to you.

Politically active women might not be as understanding of the way you feel. And you are so honest, that you have to let people know right off the bat where you stand. Unless you want to marry into a political party, you might want to keep the politics to a low.

I've heard the term "south park republican" would that describe you?

I don't know too many women who share this view (not that they don't exist, they just aren't easy to approach).

I can see girls rolling their eyes when it comes to south park. Not that it would keep you from them, you just have to realize there's a lot of making up to do. At the very least, you might not want to engage them in a discussion about any animated shows or use any quotes before they do, I've been met with some pretty strange looks for quoting Aqua Teen Hunger Force.

And then there's the sexual issues.

I'm telling you, lots of them do the kind of stuff you like, I don't know too many respectable ones who start a conversation that way, but IMO there's more to a relationship than sex. Is there a looks criteria? I usually go by a combination of looks, and independence. If they look good to me and they can do fine on their own, I find them attractive. What other criteria do you have?
