Suicide is definitely not the answer here. If you can't get accepted into a 4 year university then you could always go to community college then transfer to a 4 year school. While in community college, gain some programming experience either through an internship, volunteering, or contributing to an open source project. Once you have your associates degree from CC, you can land yourself an entry level job programming and use your degree to transfer to a 4 year university.

You won't kill yourself. If you really wanted to kill yourself, you wouldn't tell anyone about that and you'd be dead by now. Talking about it means that you need someone to talk to go through hard time. Imagine there's no future or the past, go and enjoy your life, do things you've always wanted to do but you were to anxious about. It'll help.

Ok, I agree. However, I just wanted to underline the fact that all he needs is helping hand, not suicide.
Anyway, to all depressed folks: just enjoy your lives.

DON'T!! Whatever you do, don't commit suicide. My grandfather felt that it was the answer to his problems, and took his own life. It is a permanent fix to a temporary problem. Seek out help. I understand where you are coming from. I have attempted it before, and it is not a pretty picture. For the sake of those you love, please don't do it.

Did you ever hear of the this saying; There are many roads leading to Rome. You want to become a computer programmer. Ok you can not do this at the moment, but this doesn't mean that in a year or so things will be different at you will be able to study this toppic. In the meantime you can look for courses that will help you to get there. Are you missing a particular subject on your diploma? Now is the time to study for that subject. Don't give up, you're not the only one having problems like this, be creative. You need to be when you make new programs or don't you.

Don't think I don't know what I'm talking about. If you don't try you'll never get anywhere. These are difficult times, give it time.

I have depression, I am homeless, I have no money. The way I see it is, you're damned if you do and damned if you don't and to be perfectly honest, the only 2 reasons I'm not dead by my own hand is because I don't have the stones to do it and I'm curious to see what will happen next. So you can either get curious and hope to the gods or you can say f**k it and get on with that short drop and southern stop. However, you will be leaving a sh*****g heaping pile of crap in your wake once you do it and you can't take it back if you succeed.

Think extremely carefully about everything first before you decide to do it. If, at the end of this very long and hard mental process, you still wish to do it then best of luck to you my friend but I hope for your sake you find a reason, even if it's a tiny little thing, to hold on.

Did I do anything wrong? I'm just trying to say that there are plenty of things to enjoy and it can help a bit with depression. But what a fool like me can know about almighty depression.
