Dateline, the news, all the things that scare parents into controlling their children. I know I'm not 12 but she doesn't care. "Why would you gamble your life away like that? You deserve better!" Well, I'll never meet them in real life since you never let me leave the f*****g house by myself. Not everyone's a freaking rapist. God.

Mom - do you seriously want to be chaperoning me to go to the store to buy tampons for the rest of my life? Cut the cord mom! I can't learn to live in the world if you never let me out of the house to see it.

Trust me, that's not going to go over well. Right now I need to concentrate on getting my license, a job and a car so I can be indepedent. I'm taking driving lessons. :D

That's what's awesome about you Erisad. You gripe about stuff but you are DOING things (the right things) to take care of your issues.

+admiration!

Yaaaay! :D

Last year when I joined WP, I was very much about griping and not doing anything but it was quickly pointed out to me that it wasn't going to cut it. So I started losing weight and planning for the future. College took a lot of my time so some of my progress was impeded but hey, I graduated with honors so I think not having my license is a fair trade off for having my degree. I can't wait for it to come in the mail so I can frame it on my wall (yes I already have the frame). :)

I've heard that E-Harmony is a good site. I also want to get down 50-100 lbs. I hope that things get better for you.

I now hear by a call a meeting of Erisad's escape committee. :P

Ok first things first your first goal is getting a driving license.
Walk me thought the steps that you need to take to get one. Now remember I live in the UK and getting a driving license over here is difference from where you are, so assume I don't know how to get a driving license in your state now.

Um...you get a permit by passing a written exam (I did that) and then you practice driving around until your skills are good enough to pass the driving test. After passing the driving test, you get your license. :)

Right on that front your taking driving lessons then need to a practical driving test.
Once you passed that test then your achieved that goal! :D

Now do need a full driving license to work on the next goal of finding a job?
As you have two options her with that:
  1. Focus on getting your driving license then start searching of work.
  2. Search of work while working on getting your driving license.

Which option do you what to take?

I'm already searching for work while getting driver's license. I won't go to a temp agency until after my vacation in August is over, just to keep things convenient. If a job falls into my lap, then I may not get to work since my mom will be going on those vacations and won't be able to drive me. Either way, I'm taking it easy right now. >.<

Hey, you finished a degree program and did the extras for the honors part, so absolutely a fair trade, not an impediment. Absolutely good stuff, so keep on keeping on.

Extras? Well...all I did was keep up a certain GPA to get honors. If I had joined the honors program, I would have gotten more credits or something but that's too much extra work. XD

Thanks for being supportive and stuff. ^.^

Great!! :D np I understand, I have relative who works as a recruiter for a temp agency, they do like to have a short turn over in filling temp posts. So it best to get the vacation with the jail warrens out the way
