What's your problem? Do you have any physical disease? You can live 100 years from now.

Tell me, ion, two things:

1. Have you played the Silent Hill games?

2. Which manga do you take your avatar from, Azumanga Daioh?

Nope, but I understand it's a thriller.
Yup.
Sorry if I sqicked you, but fact is, thinking about such things have made me come to terms with my mortality.

Taxes are worse, because death doesn't come every year. ;)

I'm a total necrophobe and I ignored it for years but it came back to haunt me last night and I can't stop thinking about it and don't know what to do

I really don't see why people fear their own deaths. The deaths of loved ones, sure, but your own? I just don't see it.

fear of not knowing what the experience is like and whether it's good or bad but knowing that it's inevitable... fear of oblivion because it's so incomprehendable... confusion as to whether there is anything after this or are we just here for a little while then *poof* gone?... wish i could just live without thinking about it...

I know the feeling. I've gotten over the worst of my necrophobia (or, more correctly as I realised later, thanatophobia), but it is still there, ready to attack.

By the way, Niamh, necro'ing (in other words, reviving) a four-year old thread is not exactly kosher, especially without the OP's permission (in other words, moi). I'll let it slide for the time being, but having this thread revived has brought back some unpleasant memories.
