Yes. But I do attempt to make it obvious, by ultimately stretching credibility beyond the border into North Absurdia, so that people are not confused. I know interpreting humor is not a strongpoint with ASD, I have it myself, but persist as I think it is one of the best methods of dealing with stresses, worries and anxieties which abound on WP. At least that was my experience in the military environment when things were seriously screwed up. It sometimes/often fails, but its worth a shot.

And each person will be trying to remember just how rude they were over the year and be hoping someone else was worse. But generally they will try to pick someone the mass most dislikes, and so win approval and another term in office. And finally released from the almost unbearable tension the mob tears the victim to pieces, or in this case casts the unfortunate wretch out into the NT Wilderness, to be eaten by bullies or something.
That or it could be done by simple vote, like Survivor votes someone off the island.
The most likely result is that the women would eject the man they find most blatantly anti-women, and vice versa, so it does probably have an effect of reducing friction by removing the most antagonistic.
Primitive cultures were often barbaric, but there was a method to their madness usually. Needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few and all that.

I don't like that idea. I was the 3rd person to be voted off the island in my speech class. no one wanted a sex addict artist I guess. that and I don't have the ability to rally people behind supporting me. I was able to make some laugh. but i was not one of the popular people.
