1. Dogs are wonderful. It will truly love you and has no trouble with you being aspie.

2. There are bad people in the world. And they win a lot, I think sometimes just because other people are too frightened of them to help those whom they hurt.

In my opinion, your mother really shouldn't have been saying those things. Especially if you need a dog, or something else of that sort.

I stand with Unknown that your mom is a bigot. I don't like it when people say things like that. It is insensitive toward the person that is being the subject of the bigotry (in this case, you) even if it is something that would help you to live a normal life.

It leaves me dumbfounded that a mother could, or would even say something mean and hurtful like that to their child.

I would like to say, by the way, that I meant no ridicule. The desire that I expressed is true, and maybe a bit facetious, but no disrespect was intended. I just like big cats.

i think the dog is a good idea, i also concur with unknown about you mother, she should try to understand and help you not put you down, thats just wrong for a mother!!
