Well, you may have unrealistic expectations of the forum. This happens to me when I post a lot. Like WP is my new best find. Lol
Also, parenting can be a bit cliquey.
And, also, I find it's better to have the attitude of a student rather than a teacher. I've learned a lot here.

Is this in response to me? I don't think I have the attitude of a teacher, but I do try to offer support to other users sometimes because I know that even a forum can make a difference when times are hard. Generally there's no response at all or no response to me, so I have no idea if it helps, does nothing, or even makes things worse and is annoying.

I think it was in response to me. I don't think I'm changing my attitude anytime soon, but I get where andro was coming from. I have the attitude of me, which is what it is. I don't think of myself as teacherly, more self righteous and proud of it. :lmao:

No, but seriously, I don't intend to come off as teacherly. I learn a lot from others here. :)

You don't.
Honestly, you are worrying too much. Your posts are as good as anyone's.

But it's what I do best! If I give it up, whatever will I do.

Thanks for the feedback, andro.

As long as you don't pull your hair out in the process, you could worry all you want!

I haven't done that since I sent my ex back to live with his mother. :D

I love Allie Brosh's work (Hyperbole and a Half, the blog, the book, etc.). Context for the drawing is in the blog. It's sometimes how I feel - like I'm clinging on to my 'responsible adulthood' trophy for dear life. :)

^ I've wanted to comment on your avatar for a while now... Here's my chance! It makes me smile every time I see it. Hyperbole... is one of the most adorable and downright true webcomics I've ever read. Her comic about depression is hauntingly relatable, and the ones about her dogs are hilarious. I think I actually went and re-read them all solely on account of your avatar recently!

I often feel the same about people not seeming to value or reply to my posts etc. I try to accept that it's just the way it is on this forum, and I've noticed a lot of others saying the same thing. I really enjoy reading your posts, and I hope you continue writing them!

Thanks, bungleton, for the feedback. I think the same about Allie's work. I adore everything she has ever written, and especially her willingness to share her struggles. :)

I think her graphics on depression are first class. I enjoy your posts, I find them refreshing and you say what you really think, you don't play games, I like that. And I respond sometimes, (depends if the topic interests me).

Thanks B19. I like your posts, too.

And yes, I agree about Allie's posts. I'm sorry she's gone through such intense depression, but so glad she has shared that with the world and made mental health issues much more accessible. I think her work has really helped to destigmatise depression amongst quite a lot of the younger generations, too.

hi ominous :) we're worlds apart, but here's another one that has either way, grown to like your posts and typed thoughts. your avatar character's name (i didn't catch it) has a disturbingly flexible mouth.

it seemed familiar when i read it, then i saw my cousin reading a hyperbole and a half book..in the younger generation, too. i thought of you when i saw it.

i get how you could be seen as 'teacherly' but we're all students here. i do sometimes worry whether i am helpful enough, but forget that please. :P there's not a lot of reciprocity among posts compared to a few other sites that i've been on, but i don't mind either.
