...Hair/beard , NO . As I have said , if I got some extra money , maybe I'd go to a Prime Cuts (that's what they're called ?????) and get a trim , etc. , but failing that , no .

Alrighty then.

How about one of those old Italian barbers? The charge about 10 bucks. You know...the places that have that funny candle-like thing.

...Even that would be rather expensive ~ And are there any more of those left in SF ?

...It's a nice thought ~ I suppose ~ but NO !
I'm not really familiar with that area , I think , anyway , as I have mentioned , I had a distinct tendency to , Aspie-like , keep my basic stomping grounds in San Francisco to a <<<<<really>>>>> small area even before I was  semi-crippled .
Anyway , I cherish the idea of going to a nice , " normal " , all-/Middle American Super Cuts and getting , yes , some sorta hair and beard trim ~ and dying my beard red , maybe my hair (a different shade of red) ~ and after all this maybe getting some take-home coloring to make the color last longer and likely being expected to tip some?? It would cost a bit , and , really , require me to have a fair amount of money in general to spare money for this out of it .
I could never assert myself with barbers :-( - I remember one time in the mid-Eighties , IIRC , when I got a " bigger " flat-top inspired by a Replacements album cover but I dillied and listened to the barber and he cut it too short :( . Now I'm balding ~ and , incidentally , I sort of approach any possible tonsorial visit with the thought , " This might be the last time I ever have my hair cut " , I rather think it's stopped growing , I haven't had a " haircut " in MANY years but my hair , really , doesn't even touch my shoulders !
I'd like to get some new t-shirts , say , as far as more accomplishable " cleaning up " (without a whoole lot of unexpected money landing in my lap) for right now goes .

...I got up , and really wanted to stay in bed & rst , but I had to go somewhere and get some computer time in ~ As it is , with me banned from the library , I am unable to do anything on Sunday:-( .
You know , even if the library banning gets reversed , my relationship with the library has been cast into sourness/negativity ~ This time it was librarian/s after me , not security fuzz , and it was too much of an offense to easily be " friends " agaian - Another reason to not want to stay in San Francisco , even as , admittedly , the medical care that I have been offered , even if limited , does give me a compelling reason to not go ~ If the stomach weight-gaining can stop , and - - if the BEING CRIPPLED could improve - You know , feeling tired & woozy to-day , I really was walking slowly , and at length , to this Saturday-available 'Net place for which I paid $5 for 2-something?? hours...
I don't know that the being crippled will ever get better !
I still don't have THAT MUCH medical care...
Being in/around the Tenderloin , it really is a " poor it/oh , too bad for it " area of SF , not anybody's glamorous social media or TV commercial or romantic comedy setting...I kind of fantasize about landing in an ideal " nice " sort of TV-movie small town/suburb .
You know , at this point , it appears less and less likely that I wll accomplish/reach any of my desires/" things to do " ...

When I told you about the affordable place here in my small town you said you wouldn't want to leave your city because you don't know anyone here. I realize you said you didn't see my offer of the ticket here, but you weren't interested. It's perfect for your situation and very affordable even on disability, as about half of those folks who live there are on it. Two hundred a month plus about $45 for power and whatever cable tv is. One bedroom, one bath, kitchen with appliances living room, washer and dryer connections plus a main coin laundry room if you don't have a washer and dryer. It's carpeted and has air conditioning. All garden style apts with a little porch and small yard that is maintained for you Also easy food stamps if you're on disability and a grocery store about two blocks away with no hills between. And the local doctorates house calls, but he only lives across the main road and two houses up from me. No crime. Pleasant and boring country life. But it's not San Francisco and you don't know anyone here. So what kind of ideal place are you fantasizing about? The only downside to this place, other than leaving all your sf friends behind is that you'd have to pay rent and a power bill. What's better?

...I still have only time to scan , but I think it might be considered unwise to leave what medical care I am gettig (especially the water weight/300 pounds - I've explained that elsewhere) right in the middle of right now .
Maybe a little later on ?

...When I was finally (with the cheap phone) able to call the lawyer outfit number and wait through a lengthy " on hold " I was told that they DID NOT offer free legal advice , they WERE NOT an arranger of possible pro bono help .
So now what do I do :( ?

I am really sorry for your condition.
I did everything in my power to read this whole thread. Though, admittedly, I did scan.
I've been suspending my judgment this whole time, trying to imagine that you are serious about all of this. I even had a psychotic episode at St. Bede's Catholic Church last week, which resulted in SEVEN complaints about me to the Monsignor, and only one sit-down with said Monsignor cleared the whole thing up. And I am not nearly as high-functioning as I make it seem on here. Dude... I'm trying to help here. Give us something.

...I wondered if the " imagine you are serious " was an insult , but I guess not . I don't have time to go into the whole story now . Thank you , later then .

I'm about 100 miles from you, maybe less. Who is your Msgnr? I know it's a diff diocese. My county doesn't even have a Catholic church lol. Closest is Montevallo or T Town. I'm originally from Bham though.

Sorry if this part seems off-topic. It's in response to Olive Oil's last comment:

Allegations are still pending on whether or not the Police were even called at all. One priest says they were not, the Monsignor makes no comment. The Monsignor down here in Montgomery seemed to think it might have been hearsay. I even SPOKE to a police officer in front of St. Paul's cathedral on the 4th of July, whose only issue was to avoid speaking to the panhandlers.

Just, the whole gestalt of one hand not seeing what the other is doing. It even reminds me of the job I had to leave that week, where one party claims I was at fault, and another party claims this is all in my head. Meanwhile, most of the management and staff there said I did a wonderful job. Didn't matter. I still was forced to leave. In other words, - "la la la" - let's put our fingers in our ears and just ignore the spooky guy and hope he goes away.

No, I'm still down here in Montgomery typing documents and trying to figure out what I did wrong over a month ago.
