Ass-p are you stilling getting mail? What post office are you using that can be called, is there a number to "general delivery" also what do that even mean? Is that a PO box?

If I can't get money to get to out there myself then how might I get a phone or bus or airplane ticket to you?

Personally a round trip ticket with an extra back would probably help you the most but its also the most expensive.

You can send it Western Union---but they charge a pretty penny. $12.99 for $100 if you use a credit/debit card, $8.00 if you use your bank account.

I don't know ASS-P's status as far as having ID is concerned.

If ASS-P has a good state ID, there's no doubt that ASS-P would be able to get money easily through Western Union.

I sent ASS-P money by Western Union and he was able to accept it. It went in very fast, basically as soon as the money was sent it was ready for him to collect.

So, mail can be changed to a Nashville address/post office but that should only be done when ASS-P is 100% ready to board the bus and leave. Otherwise, if something was to delay his leaving, he may not be able to receive his SSDI in San Francisco anymore, especially if there was a delay in changing the post office address back.

That's actually an extremely important point. He'd need to make sure he can receive his SSDI in Nashville or anywhere that he chooses to go.

I could probably make him the king of england documentation wise but noted and I'll follow all the laws to be clear

When do you go back to the doctor ass-p? Do you have a doctor?

If... you were to share medications, it would make my job easier and could get you here quicker, which I think is best for everyone involved. If you have a few weeks worth and are on curtain things, we can get an emergency supply for a number of professional providers.

He probably should make a trip down to that office.

He... receives disability in the mail. That is a monkey wrench but not unsolvable. What happens with direct deposit? Do he lose his card?

I need to meditate in my jedi chamber a minute, I have a few ideas.

I'm guessing he would have to change his "home bank."

My impression what that he got direct deposit, and he used a card.

But if he gets a check and deposits it in a bank, all banks accept government checks like that, I believe.

It would be a horrible mistake to close any means, post office included that is tied to income, it might be actually better to leave that alone there and create a new account here and travel back as needed. If you knew where the cash was going, you could get transportation far away from that date with a decent price and this could even come out of his check but I not going to fight about that, that is ass-p money but that is what I'd advise so long as everything is sailing which by the way it won't but that okay, cause the more chill everyone is about that fact. The more likely a solution will be found.

When he gets to Nashville, who would put him up?

It's at least a 3-day bus trip from Nashville to San Francisco.

You have my word he will never leave my sight until he has a place to sleep, I can't say what exact address that will be but I will not leave him to freeze. If I am alive he will be alive, I'll let you know if we stay alive

Agreed, there is normally a 10 day window to have change of address but remember nothing is fast with the government, he can report that until the cows come home and if you don't play your cards right, you don't get paid. He needs a valid old method and new method of getting paid.

ASS-P is very eager to leave and I think leaving SF is a good idea.

However, he needs to get everything in Nashville that he is getting in SF. That means: Medication, SSDI, a place to receive mail and a place to stay. It can probably all be done, since ASS-P has moved states before, but he'll need to make sure it's done so he can continue life in Nashville with nothing less than in SF.

As KK said, ASS-P should go to his social security office and sort this out, just as he did when leaving New York to SF.

It's nice that you're taking responsibility for a person--whom you don't know from Adam. I probably wouldn't have the courage to do that. This is very admirable.

One problem I foresee is how a landlord might feel if you had an extra person there.

Obviously, you can't give the exact address---that would be foolish.
