Is there an antidepressant that will actually reduce my appetite?
Yes: fluoxetine. When fluoxetine was first discovered, Lilly (the pharmaceutical company) actually considered it as a treatment for obesity. But then a window of opportunity arose in the 80s amidst growing concern about benzodiazepine addiction, so they decided that marketing it as an alternative to benzos would be the most lucrative option (David Healy, 'Let Them Eat Prozac') - even though the German FDA-equivalent expressed serious reservations at the time about its effectiveness for depression.
I'd think very carefully before going on it though, unless you're asexual/celibate, because it causes genital numbing and can sometimes do so on a permanent basis - even after stopping the drug (see 'Post-SSRI sexual dysfunction'). Also, it is known to make people more likely to attempt suicide due to the akathisia (anxiety, restlessness and overall inability to relax) it can cause. The FDA now requires black box warnings on fluoxetine, stating the suicide risk for patients under 25.
