It's true. I shouldn't beat myself up over it like I knew what was happening.

The funeral was hard. It wasn't cheerful like the funerals I went to for my great parents. They were like celebrations of their long lives. Some of them were in their 90s. I feel if you die at that age, it's not a tragedy, it's an achievement.

But he was only 56. It's different when someone dies before their time. It was harder on his other kids because they're younger.

True true. He really loved it. I was surprised by the number of messages on his Facebook profile left by people who said they'd miss debating him.
