mine is currently trying a different approach. "i am so f*****g sad and woe is me". for one she can feel like that, there are reasons. for 2 she could figure out im a sucker for anybody in distress (ya, by now). now to ur developement. ukno, they can be "trying" and then going back to abuse? please dont let ur guard down, and sorry for not just writing a cheery post, im really glad u got a reprieve, but im really worried too. its worst hit, when u've thought she'd change, and then she does her worst. easier if u know to expect it (and i really hope im wrong about this). enjoy it while it lasts, but please be careful. use this time to it's max, enjoy urself, u deserve every bit of fun u can think out.

The depression becomes physically painful. And my stomach is getting crazy again.
Tomorrow I see my doc.

I distract myself digging for information of Permian biota but my brain becomes too foggy... Leonard Cohen and tears are all that I have left if I don't want to do anything stupid.

say, are u taking any meds like glycin or vitamines atm?

The doc is a psychiartist. The one who dug me up from misdiagnosis.
I take SNRI that I need to discuss with him - it seems its effects are not exactly that we meant - and vitamin B composite for my dry lips.

okay. consider taking a full polyvitamine complex, some glicine, and possibly some other brain booster. ofc discussing it with ur doc. its spring, above all, huge magnetic storms all the damn way. need some course support for it.

New meds, Mom away, I'm getting better.

I can't really catch her and describe her... she's not typically narcissist, not typically borderline, yet...
This rings the bell:
https://www.psychologytoday.com/intl/bl ... ive-people

Quote:
Manipulative people either lack insight into how they engage others and create certain scenarios, or they truly believe that their way of handling a situation is the only way because it means that their needs are being met, and that's all that matters.

She is very intelligent and her intelligence seems to engage in defending her from seeing the truth about herself...

I fell to my old habits, sucked it up and did what was to be done with acceptable face... and after she left I got two serious infections at once, being almost unable to leave my bed. I needed help because I was weak and vulnerable but I ended up with that old habit of sucking it up and borrowing energy from some future breakdown - exactly the thing I was trying to unlearn.

She left and the next day I fell ill - quite likely because I felt safe to fall ill... Now the GI infection seems to be over and whatever it is in my respiratory system, it got better, I don't have this asthma-like thing any more, just runny nose and some cough.

But my daughter's problems surfaced. She notoriously shuts down at school and no one has any idea for what to do about it.

Geez. I hate it.

magz,

I hope it's OK if I join your conversation this late in the game. I didn't notice this thread before but I'm sending you hugs and positive thoughts. I can relate to so much of what you write. I also have major depression, C-PTSD, panic attacks and a toxic mother. I go mute and shut down around her, so much that I can't even move in her presence. I have been trying to label her personality as well (narcissist, borderline, autistic traits -- I really don't know, but her behaviour is very similar to your mother). I say this just so you know you aren't alone and that there are many of us here who care and understand your feelings.

I hope today is better for you, just knowing that you have another friend.

Hugs.

Thanks for hugs. I really need them now  Thank you.
I don't get it, I'm so triggered I'm crying.

Thanks. I'm better now.
I think I'll collect the kids a bit earlier today. The weather is great.
