I do feel your pain Hurtloam, I also wish there was someone by my side. It goes up and down but it never truly goes away.

With what the Possum said, how would one avoid being around romantic stuff when it's a part of life? You would have to isolate yourself entirely from society to even have a chance of doing that.

I'm not so keen on calling eyes and ears dangerous.

I do however think that it's a good idea not to dwell on things you can't have and focus on other things instead.

The language of religion is so intense sometimes.

I love explaining the bible in more down to earth ways. Maybe that's actually a talent I should use. Hmm.

I am not a religious person either, but i noticed praying and doing research on religions do help with the void i feel inside me. So i kind of understand possum's reasoning.
We are already whole within ourselves in our soul. If i feel a void i start to think that means i started to think that romantic relationships and love between people is an ideal. When in reality i believe love for God should be the ideal. And i don't mean being super religious by love of God, but by being thankful for the things he gave you, even the people around you, your family and such i see as a gift from God.

Yes, I know that some people think that praying before a meal is a silly superstition, but I like it because it makes me stop in my busy day to think about being thankful, to think about asking for good things for other people, to think about what others are going through and not just myself.

Religious preaching is not allowed in The Haven.

Quote:
The Haven is protected more than any other forum on this site, so if someone is in distress and posts there it is for help and support from other members, not to debate with him/her about their religion or atheism or post anything that could cause further distress. Trying to persuade an atheist to pray to God or Jesus for support is not appropriate in the Haven, similarly attacking a believers religious views in the Haven is not appropriate either.
