Hey there Smudge, joined this discussion late as I missed it before.

what place are you in now that's so "insalubrious" to your wellbeing? can you discuss alternative options with anyone?
I accord 100% with your idea of friendship. Friends should be for life and always there for you and vice versa. Those that let you down are idiots who don't realize that we all learn from one another and no one's an island in a sea surrounded by the maelstrom. You see, those of us on the spectrum usually care far more about our friends that they do us. In many respects we can be considered idealistic in how we view things. Being rejected/let down is harder for us. We tend to wear our emotions on our sleeves more visibly than a great big heart tattoo.

There's a lot wrong with how society functions and this current virus crisis may help change that, at least to some extent. But not holding my breath for that...

Question. Do you believe in God? What about Jesus? Cling onto Him. He will pull you through.

I do believe in God. As Amity says, it's the people around me like family who make me feel worthless.

If anyone wants to help me, I need a guarantor for rent.

Life, your life is priceless! Silly American here, never heard of a guarantor before. What is that?

And those people ie your family are idiots, like mine are/were. Idiots dont get to decide your worth. You do Smudge and for your self image to be true it shouldn't be polluted by those idiots ideas about you.
What about a company like these? https://www.housinghand.co.uk/faqs/what ... guarantor/

Those companies are expensive. That one starts at £300 ($370 US) a year. I don't know if I can trust them.

I hope we can make a better tomorrow. Tomorrow definitely can be better than today Smudge. Please give tomorrow a chance and if tomorrow doesn't work out there is always the next day to make a better place.

Looking into it a bit more, they require a co signer but with looser criteria than needed for a guarantor.

This one specifically mentions tenants on benefits
https://www.rentguarantor.com/

Trying to come up with ideas that rely on personal relationships as little as possible.

I would tend to trust a legal agreement, something clear cut, more than personal relationships.

I don't know if any of these companies would swindle me out of my money. I don't trust them. And they are expensive.

Sure I can understand that fear, I haven't used them myself, though I would likely have if i knew about their service some years ago.
Could be useful for a plan B :)

I'm thinking of you Smudge, and sending George to keep you safe. :star:

Maybe. I'm not ruling it out, just weary of them.

I've just submitted a form for purchasing Nembutal. Probably going to wait, then do some more research. Going to see how that turns out. It seems you have to do research into it as obtaining the substance is not that easy.

Feels a bit weird typing out the above, it's just research. I'm not necessarily going to purchase it. It's just an option.

Low dose or high? Not high I hope.

Lethal.

I was afraid of that. I’m glad to see you getting good help from others here. Really glad.

It's not really helping me as such.

Samaritans: 611 123 (free phone)

Not saying you should call them, just felt moved to make sure you’ve got their number.
