Thanks guys! I now have the keys and have been planning on how to place the furniture, what places need fixing/paint and I've been cleaning a bit... started by scratching out cliche aforism stickers off the walls.

Eh, I'm more of a doll house person.

Not a bad idea. I should probably get rid off the dead flies between the window glasses too, but the windows are too big and I have trouble opening them, so it seems she'll have to see them and help.

I once helped my son deep clean a new apartment he was renting. It may have been his first ever. He assigned me to clean the cupboards in the pantry! As much work as it was, it was so exciting to be part of this experience in his life.

Your sharing reminds me of that. Thank you for sharing your joy.

Okay yeah so I've been living in my new place for a bit over a week now. I don't think it has really sunk in for me yet that I own this place, that I live here. I think the fact that I've been on a vacation for the last two weeks has something to do with it; the routine hasn't sunk in yet. I'm going back to work tomorrow though, so I suppose the reality check is on it's way.

My experience was that reality wasn't so much a "check" but rather a "bill." Sigh. But if properly managed it is well worth it! :) Congratulations! ENJOY!!
