I have a male Muscovy duck, named Lucy( Named it before we figured out its gender), and it is hostile to my other ones. I was feeding yesterday and Lucy completely ripped the tail feathers out of a female northern shovler that was trying to eat. I never seen a duck jump so high. I don't know if it needs a female Muscovy. If it just wants a girl or if it doesnt like the orther ducks. There has been a female Muscovy that stays by Lucy. It can fly so can all my ducks, but Lucy can't or doesn't know how. The other ducks are free to venture into the world. They can take care of themselves if they get lost. I only really interact with Lucy. He follows me most places when I am outside. I try to stay with him as much as possible because it gets aggressive when it thinks I'm not watching it. Can Muscovy's cross breed with malards and northern shovlers?

Family Anatidae (Swans, Geese and Ducks) is a family notorious for rampant hybridization... There are Muscovy/Mallard hybrids, but they are not fertile. Northern Shoveler... IDK, but various Northern Shoveler hybrids exist in the wild, a crazy example is when a Northern Shoveler hybridizes with the Blue-winged Teal, the result looks almost identical to an Australian duck, the Australian Shoveler.

Emus are mean, but well they are cool, lol!! !

What about lucy's hostility? I mean he is drastically bigger than the male mallards. He could sit on em. Like he chunky. Is the hostility normal or is it a behavioral problem?

Normal... Male ducks compete like crazy for females, they get so aggressive, they sometimes drown the female while mating with her.

Oh dam I didn't know muscovies could get like that. I know mallards are aggressive AF when it comes to mating. I would hate to be a duck. Oh um do eagles eat ducks? I was sitting out side and the ducks were sitting in the shade of the big tree in the yard. When I see a bald eagle swoop down and land next to the tree. I saw the bald eagle before as my house is on the edge of it's territory. I noticed it first when I was playing with my friends pet snake. It landed about 6 feet from us. It was cool but she was worried for her snake. Me too but I was distracted at the moment.

Ducks are a popular Bald Eagle prey item. They also like fish, pretty much anything near the water, and even road kill!

Hehe nope... Duck not on the menu today or as long as I'm taking care of the chunkster. But if it happens to get it I am not gonna hate the eagle. I mean I'm gonna love it either but it is the food chain. Maybe it will teach my duck to listen when I say no.
