In other words you're only 3 years older than Donnie Yen, the same sword master in this clip:

Buddy you're not old. Not even close.

I have never been fishing, but my brother tried and he caught a dog. They had to get the dog free from the hook.

Yeah!...going out to nature does wonders for mental health I feel like. LIke hearing the wind blowing through the trees, and all the critters and birds. Just today me and my boyfriend went on a hike which was fun though we were hoping to see more animals but aside from birds all we saw was a toad and he seemed kind of curious. I was tempted to pick him up for a minute but, I kind of figure most wild animals probably prefer not to get picked up by what the perceive as a giant that could eat them so I thought it better to let him be and just observe visually.

This puzzles me! Was the dog in the water, and your brother did his good deed for the day and saved it from drowning? How did the dog get on the hook? Or was it dead?

The dog went to try and eat the bait so they had to run after the dog to set it free. When he came home after an entire days patience and he said "All I caught was a dog" we found it quite amusing. The dog was ok thankfully.

Depends on the weather. If it's raining I'll do some sewing. I bought a couple of skirts cheap that are too big for me. I need to do something with them.

If it's sunny I'll go for a walk somewhere nice.

What about you?

I feel like a taxidermy dog would make for the ultimate fishing trophy.

You're a very useful person, indeed, if you can sew :)

I was speaking of all genders, by the way----not just women.

I wish I could sew, so I wouldn't have to get my pants hemmed at the cleaners......

At a farm down the hill from here they had a pond, and I heard how the pond was formed.

It all started out when there was a coal mine into rhe mountain near the farm. This mountain was riddled with coal mines from the 1500's onwards (Earlier mines here were cell mines. Later ones were drift or shaft mines).
Now the farmer wanted to dig a pond, and one of the miners heard about it and as the mines had closed, the old miner said he could get one of the old sticks of dynamite, as he remembers how in the past they had used dynamite to remove some old trees and it was soo successful that they ended up with a large pond, so as he wanted a pond, it was a very quick way to make one.
They agreed to meet, and the plan was to hide safely behind a bank and throw the dynamite to the spot where the farmer wanted his pond.
All seemed fine. No one in the area so it was clear.
So the old miner lit the dynamite and taking aim he threw it, and they ducked behind the bank.
Th e issue was that the sheepdog had thought it was a game of fetch and brought it back to them!
Panic! Well. They managed to get the dynamite from the dog and threw it just in time, but the farmer did not get his pond where he wanted it! He ended up with a pond in the middle of his field instead, which is where it remained to this day, though it has mostly silted up since. (The dog and the two men survived their ordeal).
