The "smartest" people I've seen have been those that don't follow the herd and/or authority regardless of their intellect simply because that's what the herd does and/or authority says so. There's something to be said for the simpleness of healthy skepticism of authority and individuality when it comes to cognition.

That's just my opinion though.

I think your smart but you need to not charge headfirst into things.

Also you see things in absolutes which is also related to diving headfirst into things

I'm constantly insecure about my intelligence .There's 2 sides to me. There's the side that does OK at high range tests vs the side that struggles when it comes to daily, practical,l tasks.

Look up Dunning–Kruger effect. People who don't question their intelligence and think they always come across as unquestionably brilliant are usually stupider than those who question their intellect.

Don’t be. Someone with Down syndrome can drive. I always feel stupid but eh what can you do? Stay away from flying soccer balls!

On reflection I find it unkind to compare yourself to somebody else with another disability to boost one's own ego.
