Unfortunately few want to go out to a sit down restaurant any longer. Most just want to sit at home on their phones and have the food delivered to them. We have become really lazy. No wonder obesity is at epidemic proportions.

Pizza Hut's old business model failed because treating fast-food pizza like it's a classy dining experience no longer resonates with customers.

They've pivoted a business model that works. If you like their pizza, be grateful, this might mean it'll still be around.

Personally, I never liked their pizza. My mom worked there when I was young and always mentioned how much oil they were expected to spray in the pan. I'll still eat it though, even bad pizza is pretty good.

That's pretty good that you can make your own pizza! I can't do that.

I usually add toppings to frozen pizza.

We used to have Pizza Hut over here in Australia, I used to like going there until a kid sneezed all over the buffet.
we also had Sizzlers which is no longer here.

Yep.
I used to like Pizza Hut when I was younger, but latter preferred Domino.
The last Sizzlers here closed down a number of months ago. Pity.
My favourite Chinese place closed down as a result of COVID.
COVID was a b***h. 8)

I grew up in a Domino's household, Pizza Hut was a rare treat and Round Table (maintained it's quality at last check) and Sbarro (oh how the mighty have fallen) were even better. Used to love Red Lobster and Sizzler too. I guess the world I grew up in doesn't exist anymore, smh.

I think Domino was too business savvy.
My best guess is THAT is the real reason for the demise of PH.
