Actually, I've read that employers in the USA, as a whole, are less interested in their employees having a college degree compared to employers in continental Europe. USA employers seem to be more interested in 'work experience.'

But employers in continental Europe (and pretty much anywhere else) will demand that you have a degree with a major directly related to your specific field, otherwise it doesn't count. For graduate jobs, it's essentially impossible, outside the US and Britain, to change fields unless you go back to uni or have very, very good connections. Thus in most of the world if you have a university degree and don't get a job in your specific field, then you might as well not have done a degree in the first place, which is not the case in the US, UK.

A bit unrealistic ones - for the vast majority of the male population, looking for a girl that looks like a model is unrealistic.

Especially when the male in question has said he is overweight himself...

However, if you're serious, Tim... she has to be liberal, South-Park loving, look like a swimsuit model, and live nearby.. then, good luck with that!

What is a good field of work that pays good, and does not require calculus or chemistry?

But do you really want to cut yourself out of all the natural sciences because of a couple poor professors? Even though you had a lot of difficulty, you still came out of your first semester with a 3.33. I really admire that (I, unfortunately, had a 2.14 first semester GPA) and I look up to an attitude like yours; you had trouble, but you still did really well. I love the biology major (their are a lot of job opportunities in research and medicine), but while it's low on math, it does require a full year of chemistry and a year of organic chemistry.

Maybe you should consider a new university. To have two incompetent professors in one school year seems like a red flag; professors should encourage you to pursue their field, not turn you off of it. One of the reasons why I now am more interested in pursuing research as a career instead of medicine (I was initially premed) was because of a grad student lab instructor who encouraged us to attend research seminars and was passionate about his field.

Answering this question is pointless, because it is clear you have not listened to a single damn word anybody else has said in this thread. Perhaps you should try to work on your listening skills, and then maybe you could attract a nice, pleasant woman who will like you for you, not for how much money you make.

Money definitely helps, no one wants a man that can't provide.

Do you and I live in the same world?

And I stand by my previous statement. Responding to Tim is pointless, because he's just whining and indulging in self-pity, bigotry, and prejudice. Giving him any advice or attention at all is doing no good, because he just isn't listening! I'd like to try and help him if I can, but he's got his head shoved so far up his you-know-what that it's impossible to get through to him.

Tim, in the words of Jerry Maguire, help me help you.

And aspie. And single and looking, presumably.
Tim, I think you just have to find what really are your core needs, and be prepared to sacrifice the rest if necessary, i.e. make a distinction between what is sine qua non for you and what would be a nice bonus. Do you absolutely require her to look like a swimsuit model? Does she have to be an aspie (i.e. couldn't it work with a quirky, open-minded NT?)? Would you not consider an apolitical or middle-of-the-road girl? I'm not saying you should go for a hideous girl, or an extreme NT, or a Falwell fan, but that you need a realistic assessment of things. Bear in mind that aspie girls, and girls that look like swimsuit models and are single and looking, are both extremely rare. Someone who is both is a one-in-a-million girl, even before we consider any of your other requirements - and last but not least, before we consider whether she'd be into you at all.
Living nearby is one requirement I consider sensible, since it may be difficult to form an emotional attachment with someone you don't often encounter face to face (I don't think I could do this, and distance is therefore a dealbreaker for me), and since presumably you want to live together or at least see each other regularly eventually, this may again be difficult or impossible if you live far away (it is extremely unlikely that I would move away from Bristol for the next couple years, for instance).
