Well it's just that are these the same people who have tried to invent a vaccine for the common colds but have failed, and tried to invent one for HIV and failed? So what the odds that all of a sudden they are going to be successful with this one?

Also, it takes the FDA years to approve new medications, and I read it could take up to 12 years according to this article:

https://www.drugs.com/fda-approval-process.html

It says it can take an average of 12 years for FDA approval, and that's just an average, so can realistically expect to have one in less than a few years?

Viruses are different; they can invent vaccines for some faster than others. The ones that spread easier and/or are more dangerous also take priority and get more funding. And in case of something like covid19, they'll speed up the approving process for a possible vaccine.

Quote:
Are they not doing human trials now because nobody wants to be test subject, or are their volunteers, but they still do not want to use them at this stage?

This virus is still rather new, so first they have to collect data and plan the vaccine. After that is done, they'll make it and test it on animals. If the results are as expected, then they'll start testing it on volunteers. Apparently, here in Finland they're working on a vaccine that, if everything goes according to plans, will be tested on humans starting this autumn.

They’ve already reaped successful results with mice within at least one study, sponsored by the University of Pittsburgh

The desired immune response was obtained from the mice.

It makes sense for right now, but I think we as a society need to come up with a cut off point, where in a few months down the road, we say, okay, enough is enough we need to start the economy

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mammon
Mammon /ˈmæmən/ in the New Testament of the Bible is commonly thought to mean money, material wealth, or any entity that promises wealth, and is associated with the greedy pursuit of gain. The Gospel of Matthew and the Gospel of Luke both quote Jesus using the word in a phrase often rendered in English as "You cannot serve both God and mammon."

I feel quite bad. Cough and deep sore throat.
No fever. Fatigue. Some dizziness.
Like that, better or worse moments, for the last 6 days.
Our healthcare system is collapsing even without being overwhelmed with patients. Better not go there now.
I guess I'll be fine but I'm feeling bad for being weak and useless again.

Just rest up as much as you possibly can.

I’m sorry you’re not feeling well.

That sounds not bad. Were you tested? I've lost track.

(( Spoons for Magz ))

Please take care of yourself. I found out I have walking pneumonia and I didn't think I was very sick either.

I'm sure your doctor could speak to you on the phone and order an x-ray like mine did.
