I never wanted kids, didn't want my faulty genes being passed on. I do have a beautiful daughter and grandson, and I wouldn't change that for the world.

ummm isnt there a women's support thread on WP?

Correct me if I'm wrong.
Don't you have an autistic daughter?

How can you post crap like this? ^

Do you or don't you realise this entire site is for everyone regardless of gender?

Do you think some of us belong in a tiny closet somewhere, defined by gender?

Do you or don't you realise men troll women for sex in the "Women's thread", too?

I thought he was simply suggesting a safe place for women.
Regarding trolling in the woman's thread, report the posts.

I think I am missing something.

I'm not relying on numbers alone, but the pew research is the broadest study done, The numbers match what is happening around the western world and in the some of the Asian countries who have socially mimicked western values. It also ties in with what I (and many on this forum) have experienced.

Just because you don't like the pattern doesn't invalidate that something is wrong.

If fewer women are choosing to hook up with men, I don’t see it as something wrong. That’s their choice. People, including horny, young men, aren’t entitled to sex or relationships.

However, the numbers you and Pepe cited demonstrate that things are not as extreme as you are claiming them to be. Also, self-reporting surveys are not known for being rock-solid evidence. Many things can skew people’s reporting - stuff like socialized, gendered attitudes/beliefs.

Whatever the case may be, being alone (or being alone in the past) is no excuse to engage in continuous, sexist commentary/misogyny. I know where the report button is. :ninja:

I don’t go around making sexist generalizations about men even though I’ve known a few abhorrent men who hurt me profoundly.

There are fewer women than men at WP.
Relegating all women's issues to one subforum means we'd have very little support.
If we managed to make friends there, we'd be accused of being in cliques or girl-gangs.
Oh wait - that's already happened.

It sounds like some men want women out of L&D so we won't see the misogyny.
Alex, CF and Walrus all posted recently that they want misogyny reported.
Who's going to report it if there are no women there to see?

When's the last time either of you men reported misogyny to help women?
Also please remind me why men and women can't just help each other?

Should we have separate subfora for different races too, or would that be racist?

M-F friendship is entirely undervalued here even though you admit your daughter has lots of male friends.

Of the three male friends she has at school, one of them has a g/f, the other two are non-binary (gay). She has two female friends who are special needs but not to the same level as she is.

Your daughter's gender is irrelevant to the conversation, and that is private information that you probably shouldn't share here, as it can be used against you.

I'm sorry to hear she's getting through so much stuff. Hope it improves, but you're a good dad.

I might try talking about mom, since I don't want her to be left out of it.

I'm curious why a Neurotypical, married man spends so much time on the Love & Dating subforum of an autism website, suggesting that autistic women be segregated away from men when we're all supposed to be working together to help the site owner promote equality between the sexes, and support autistic women?

I'm curious why people are disagreeing with the mods and the site owner about problems on this site, and invalidating any claims to the contrary?

I'm curious why people are being trolled and harassed because they're sharing their personal experiences?

Anyone? Anyone?

That's EXACTLY what I told HR when I left my last job. Out of 100 engineers, it had dwindled down to 2 women (and no transgendered or non-binary that I knew of). Tongue in cheek: Complaints of gender bias and discrimination were going way down, and the company survey results were looking better than ever!! !! I took the issue up as high and as broadly as I dared --- you want sustainable innovation that comes with diversity of thought? Consider this... When I suggested a target of 20% women as a component of that, one (male, they all are) VP said "women don't want these jobs" (to my womanly face) --- yep, he just demonstrated the #1 reason why they don't (b/c of Everything that goes along with that attitude that preceded and fulfills that prophecy).

Oh I've taken an unwritten agreement not to tread into L&D (I think I did mention that in this thread).

There's a thread I started on the parent's forum which has been read by 300,000 people which I completely discloses my daughter's progress from non-verbal to transitioning to having a semi-normal life attending a mainstream school. She's graduating this year so I have passed the torch of looking after the thread to Jono who also has non0verbal kids.

I've already disclosed a lot of private information to a lot of people aready :D

My intentions were to put myself in the shoes of those "horny young men" on WP who have voiced their frustration and share with them that it's not just young men on the spectrum, there are millions of NT men who are/were actually in the same boat and I was one of them.

There are various solutions/options out there for them and I think everyone has heard them and I need not repeat them here. But ultimately my main message is don't be disappointed if you end up single. Firstly take solace you have many brothers in the same boat. Secondly there is more to life than sex and companionship.

Finally I have never said there is any expectation from any of the single women on WP to date men on this site. Single women (whether AS or NT) are entitled to be autonomous in their choices (as if I need to even say that?). My communication has always been aimed at WP men who feeling sexually frustrated. I acknowledge there may be women on this site who are also craving a partner but I have no experience or right to provide advice to women or to non-binary people.
