Today I tried to start an account with Electricity de France, and encountered security codes which weren’t sent, then sent in triplicate, then another which was sent to an old mail box I can no longer access (there was no option to change this; I wonder where they got it from?). It also prompted my post code, and then told me it wasn’t valid!

Now I’m encountering scrolling difficulties here, and unasked for quotes, YUCK!
