Thanks.
The healthcare system here is collapsing anyway, it was never good in managing epidemics, even little local seasonal outbreaks of flu or rotaviruses resulted in infecting patients who came to a clinic for other reasons. Yes, getting a virus in a clinic waiting room was quite frequent here even before the outbreak, my older daughter got it at least twice. From what I gather, corona is managed the same way. Patients leave hospitals infected.
We have no really much defense other than ourselves, here.
Luckily, I'm in the mild-to-moderate lot so staying at home and resting should do for me.

Be still carefully. One problem of Corona is that it can be a longlasting reoccuring sh*t and it's not really gone once you think that you are over it. It takes time to get really rid of it. :?
Several people who got negative tested became positive tested afterwards again. :(
But once you feel really good again it's mostly not as much of a problem the next time it reoccures.

@sly

You said your concern was not being able to safely go buy groceries. Does Oregon not have grocery delivery services? :?

Several stores here now offer it + strictly online grocery stores that do delivery only + companies that go do shopping for you and deliver. All charge a modest fee. (From what I read $10 + any tip you give the delivery person)

They’re being utilized by a lot of seniors, immunocompromised people, and those quarantined after travel or with symptoms. The only major downside is that delivery schedule slots seem to be booked two weeks out And there’s no guarantee you’ll get everything on your list if a shop is out of stock at that moment.

There’s also the option of putting your order in online and picking it up at the front of the store to minimize any exposure you would have by shopping.

Alternatively, people are turning to Facebook groups to connect with people they can either contract (pay) for delivery services or with volunteers willing to do it for free.

Surely you can either get delivery, do pickup, or find a local group willing to assist if you look.

I wish I’d been asked to go back to work now. I’m going get sick anyways I’d rather kept making money.

My sister keeps going out to see her church kids for hours, and goes out every day or two days to go shopping for something. Only matter of time before she gets it and spreads it to me and mom.

I can’t apply for unemployment and i dont know if I’ll get food stamps, they might tell me to apply for unemployment which I can’t do.
So I’m screwed and going get the virus anyways

Your state is doing the best out of the Pacific Northwest states.

Is your store still closed?

It’s open with limited hours and min staff. I’m furloughed for 90s after thst I’ll be let go.
If they call I’m. Just going go back and I’ll probably stop cleaning stuff from stores and sanitizer stuff before eating.

Not disinfecting everything that comes into your household is very disrespectful towards your mother, IMO. Even if you don’t care about yourself, clean it because of her.

She’s going out right now to see all her youth kids and give them some craft bags.
She went out few days ago to drop a blanket off to a kid and was there for 3 hours.

When we go to stores to get food she shops for cloths, makeup and shoes. Then goes to dollar tree for yawn or beauty stuff.

It’s like nothing’s changed for her. Only difference is she sanitizer her hands and phone after getting back into the car. But when we get home she touches the yawn, puts on the clothes. Etc. it’s like she doesn’t think clothes can have the virus on it. I hate the clothes area too you can’t walk through it without bumping into All the clothes. And I’ve seen people walk around the clothes coughing on them.

It’s super terrible too cause I can’t use my phone ins store to pass time so I’m going crazy with adhd and anxiety about the virus.

I shouldn’t called out of work that time maybe I’d got called back and be getting paid still.
