I wish I could get all my groceries delivered but where I live there is literally no slots anywhere, no matter which site you use (Tesco, Asda, Sainsburys, etc). I've given up even trying now, as I knew it would be impossible even before I tried. There are loads of people using the supermarkets, but I know there are probably even more people that are ordering online.
So I just go to the small convenience store where not many people go to and it has all the things I need. No queues.

Since you don’t have to go to work and have free time and are intelligently concerned about the virus, rather than let your home environment cause increased anxiety, why not do the mountain of laundry & spend your time cleaning and disinfecting your whole home?

I can’t see how that wouldn’t help calm your nerves. Plus your mom would appreciate it. And who cares what your sister thinks or if she doesn’t help? It still needs to be done and even more often since your sister keeps doing stupid things.

Joe I solved the problem of no slots by placing orders at monthly intervals in advance. Then I can modify the order or cancel it as needed. The first order required a wait of 2 weeks but after that it is going smoothly. They don't always have everything I need but this is like a wartime situation so I can't expect it to be perfect. The local grocery store is probably a better solution. Wear a mask and gloves to be safe

I'm just upset that I won't be able to have any gifts on my birthday. I'm not the sort to expect, but it will be my 30th birthday and my family has got me a few gifts but it will be expensive to send them (plus there's some valuables apparently). My mum and dad want to drive over to my place and pass them through the window, but because it's probably not classed as essential travel, I'm worried they might be stopped by a cop, as there's about a 25-mile distance between my town and their's. It's not fair, I think people should be able to at least travel in their car as long as they're not planning a social gathering. I mean, it's bad enough some of us having to celebrate a birthday during quarantine, it'd be nice to at least receive some gifts on your birthday.

^Om the bright side, at least cops are stopping people for non-essential travel where you live.

Here it’s all just a bunch of “Please don’t travel,” followed up by a big fat nothing which results in a bunch of COVIDIOTS clogging up the ferries and highways for Easter long weekend trips despite orders from the Minister of Health not to.

Island and coastal communities are pretty pissed about it, and rightfully so, but true ones I feel for most are the Indigenous communities up in the mountain valleys. They’ve asked people not to visit at all right now even if they have a cabin there, but I highly doubt that a steady stream of morons didn’t drive their trucks and camping gear up to each of those towns and surrounding areas. :/

At least you have the birthday gift of comfort knowing that your areas are being kept safer by law enforcement actually enforcing things.

This virus should be avoided at all costs

I went to visit my sister in hospital the other day as she had to have fluid drained from her lung, a friend of hers took me as the it's hard to find the ward she is in, the health workers told us we couldn't go together and made us stand outside while they let other people through I was starting to get agitated, we were eventually allowed to in the end, I even said out loud they don't understand people who have Autism, I hope they heard, with losing my mum and with this going on I've lost all faith in doctors and other medical people.

Bump. Alive. Almost no fever. The air I breathe irritates something inside the tract, like in bronchitis I had a few years ago. Can't sing, talking is exhausting, physical activities are draining.
Maybe time to phone my GP aunt? But I guess all that can be done now is - stay at home and rest.
If only my ADHD kid could understand it...

I have a bronchitis-like feeling in my lungs. No weakness or fever for quite a while now.

I'm now worrying about my mum and dad. I rang my mum today for a chat. She told me that they have run out of cleaning supplies and they can't seem to get any in their local stores so they had to travel out of town to a bigger store. In the bigger store lots of people were breaking the rules and standing near my mum, and my dad kept touching his face (as it's a subconscious habit of his) and not washing his hands, even after touching the petrol pump. So I suppose that's just asking for coronavirus, and he has asthma so if he does get it he will die. My mum has had cancer before and although she's a survivor of it I'm still not sure that makes her vulnerable to coronavirus or not. But my dad has probably got the virus now, though the symptoms won't appear for another 4 or 5 days yet. My mum lives with him and it's impossible to distance each other when you live in the same house, so she'll get it too. It seems that there's a 100% chance of catching the killer disease if you are out near people and touch your face without washing your hands, and the death rate in the UK has reached over 11,000 now, and that isn't just old people or people with underlying health conditions either. Enough young and healthy people have died too.

I'm going to lose the people I love, all at once, due to this f*****g virus that didn't even need to happen.

It's just worrying when you hear of the amount of deaths each day in your country. A friend of mine has lost her dad due to the virus, although he was in his 80s and ill anyway. But no matter how ill you are from something else, this coronavirus just comes along and kills you off.

Also, if this COVID-19 is actually one of many existing coronaviruses, why can't they find a cure or vaccine quicker? The common cold is actually a coronavirus, so it's in the same "family" as this COVID-19. So surely these medical scientists can base what we already know about coronaviruses on finding a cure, or at least effective treatment, to defeat this new coronavirus? Or isn't it as simple as that?
