He ain't weird imo, he just stands out because he's unique in his own ways.
This is after all WrongPlanet (I think).

There is a point of being unique and being odd. He is in odd territory with his sensitivity over his world that 95% percent of the people of the REAL world would not be into. Creating new worlds and being VERY sensitive over criticism is just odd...he should see a doctor just for being so sensitive...

I did suggest that a blog would be the best alternative thing, i do this stuff pretty much when I really feel te need to. There are after all members who are sensitive to criticism and a forum like wrongplanet should be able to give that advice to how to toughen up etc.

He could see a doctor but I don't think that would always be the right thing? I've heard some people go insane afterwards and become insecure of themselves and I do remember that experience far too well when my girlfriend went in there to get rid of some problems, she has never been the same ever since (and I mean in a bad way).

The Creedonia stuff can be annoying to some people and they may not have an interest, even if it's 95% --- hence why I said blog, however I do like his art though.

Actually a lot of people like it, so your theory about the 95% is null and void.

Telling me to go see a doctor because I'm "odd"? Since you seem to know a lot about my mental state, please continue.

I have published quite a few short stories into the Montage, which is our student newspaper.

The problem is that he's spamming this sh** everywhere.

I haven't noticed it until now and I'm here almost every day. Before now I was just aware that Creedonia meant a lot to Ackman. So it appears to me that he's been bullied and since you've raised your hand to identify yourself as the culprit, I think of you as the bully. I expect aspies to lack compassion because it can be difficult for aspies and auties to connect with other people or imagine their feelings; however, targeting someone like this isn't justifiable. I don't like behavior like that. You should stop it.

Not because you're odd but because of how sensitive you are. And that makes you odd.

So what if he's sensitive? Being sensitive certainly doesn't give people the right to bully him. It should actually produce the opposite effect on people, if they're good people.

So let's cut the crap here. You know nothing about me. You can't just label me "odd" because I'm sensitive.

I feel like you're someone else here.

I thought odd = oppositional defiance disorder.

Only a psychiatrist can determine if someone is ODD.

Which is true, but for the opposite effect to work, he would have to not care about what other people think of his interests however I do agree with you with that creating the opposite effect.

For some reason I picture Plywood as one of the characters from the cartoon Ed, Edd & Eddy, Plank:

Ackman - I think it sucks that anyone would so cold heartedly demean you or your interests, but especially here. Personally, creating new worlds is one of my special interests too and I'd be heartbroken if someone crushed my spirit enough to make me abandon that. I'm fairly new to the board so I don't know about Creedonia. Just know I'd be one to support and encourage your creativity.

This is where an ignore button would be so incredibly helpful on this board. People can ignore posts they don't want to see - or ignore people that push their buttons. It's a community - not everyone is going to get along. A little bit of a social helper like 'ignore' would go a long way.
