I hear you guys have some pretty big insects out that way too.

Because of the winters here nothing grows too big, thank God. Eastern Ontario is on a bed of limestone, so we get lots of caves. The woods are pretty - a mixture of deciduous and coniferous and lots of lakes. We have bears and coyotes. I figure if I got out in the winter it would be good because they will be hungry then.

I am feeling really good about my decision. For so long I have felt that I owed it to others to stay alive, but now I kinda figure, why should I? I don't owe it to anyone.

But yes. I think I'm ready. I've thought about it for a long time and it feels right. Like I said, it will take some planning to do it right, but yeah, there's no reason to stick around.

Uh oh. Not good to owe the government. I have debt, but just credit. I did have to go bankrupt a few years back. It wasn't as big a deal as I thought. Have you been for credit counselling?

Should be interesting.

I wish there was a way to suicide without leaving a body.

Well just agree with whatever they say. They will probably suggest arranging for monthly payments as they want to keep your debt good, so they're motivated. Ask him about bankruptcy and see what he says.

nah, you'll be saving a ton of resources compared to all the people who will be hanging around indefinitely longer. logistically speaking they're just more viable long-term resource wasters

whatever is given to you, it's yours. you can give it to someone else, you can take it to the grave with you, or you can burn it if you want. it's yours. if people can win the lottery and have a lot of money for free, i think there's no reason why you can't win the anti-lottery and get special treatment for it (pun intended). no one will even object to it. or if anyone does, well, screw them, because they suck

^ My main financial issue is not having any income.
And treatment is expensive.
And I don't have private health insurance.
And I'm ineligible for disability or unemployment.
And I have a tax debt from a compensation claim that was withheld, then paid in arrears in a lump sum which means I lose a quarter of the claim in tax :roll:

But it's not all doom and gloom.
The financial planner has told me what to do and she's going to make all the arrangements for me, so that's taken a huge weight off my mind.
I can also claim her services pro bono because of my circumstances.
So I can probably prevent homelessness for a while longer
