...I do know how to move - the moves I made in the more recent past around the general Bay Area , and from the Bay Area to the Pacific Northwest and back , are more relevant than what happened nearly 2 decades ago when I moved from the NYC/the area .
My SSDI comes on an ATM card , and I can access it anywhere in the US , I guess - So that's an advantage .
Yeah , assuming I went Music City-ward , I'd forward the little bit of General Delivery mail to Nashville - I suppoose , at least initially , to General Delivery there .
If I got a P.O. box , USPS or private , and/or some space in the presumed destination (Nashville) - that would have to wait until I got there .

...That's interesting you should say that , re Nashville: The Homeless Guy blogger (when he was located there) said something about " cold Nashville winters " - I guess I just approached it from thinking " It's the South , there won't be much winter " - though from my occasional considering Austin , TX , I have seen that it can be considerable cold at night and hot during the day ! !! !! !!

Nashville is much colder than Austin! In Austin, you could go around in a light jacket most of the time. Not in Nashville. You need winter gear in Nashville.

Their all-time record low is actually lower than New York's. I believe it's Minus 19 Fahrenheit.

Austin rarely goes below 20 Fahrenheit.

I look at the weather all the time; it's one of my "special interests."

It's not unusual for Nashville to have similar weather to New York. They get less snow, but they probably get more ice storms.

...I have sent a PM in which I speak of the - whatevers - of getting there , I ~ Are you speaking of going via Greyhound (the only company I am familiar with , especially for something as - " long-distance " - as SF to Nash.) or another company ?
If you know of another company , it may well be better - I don't know where you'd leave from SF on that bus company , though .

From the 11th, though, there are some that are $119.
