This issue still perplexes me. Seriously. Can we discuss it?

After scanning though a great deal of text posted by yourself and others, I finally spotted a link buried within all that. That's why I wasn't sure what this thread was about exactly. And really you're coming off as being kinda disdainful about how lazy and unwilling everybody is to get in on this and they just want to keep whining etc, or at least that's the vibe I'm getting.

Wtf? I've been putting forth time/effort/energy for more than 4 years sharing this with the forum community here. I've responded to every PM & email about it. I'll actively engage in conversation with anyone who's receptive to discussing it, learning from it, open to trying things for themselves etc. Why re-write the same things I wrote 4 years ago when it's all still there in black & white just as it has been?

Whether this or something else someone else discovers that treats ASD even better than I've managed to, I don't care. I just find it absolutely absurd that people opt to complain to no end about oh how they wish they could be different etc rather than make any attempt to treat their undesirable symptoms, whether by my methods or others. Of course I'm personally biased & refer mainly to my own methods because I've been sharing about their effectiveness at treating ASD for more than 4 years. That's why this is so bizarre and perplexing to me. Why would people complain, not just whine, but complain about being suicidal over their symptoms & completely ignore that I've shared exactly how they can try to treat and manage their symptoms? Just. So. Weird.

Well I'm not wanting to argue with you. But none of that is something I was aware of obviously. Putting aside all this stuff that happened four years ago or for over four years and whatever, this was not at this time and place presented in a way that was the least bit enticing. No "oh cool maybe I should give this a try" effect.

Well, there ya go. Now you know.

*shrug* Just so bizarre to me still that I share that I've figured out how to counter the negative & undesirable affects of ASD and the response here seems to be, in general, "meh, I'd rather just complain about being miserable than try to do anything about it." That's the point of this thread, nothing more, nothing less.

Sir it seems like you're going on about how stable you feel while displaying a bad somewhat hostile attitude. I mean is that a side effect? Do you see what I'm getting at?

How is it a bad attitude to want others to feel relief of their symptoms vs see them continue being suicidally depressed?

Put yourself in my shoes for a moment. You’d be perplexed as to why people wouldn’t opt to try what’s worked to treat the same condition, too, had you figured it out and shared it with the group 4+ years ago.

Regardless of what anyone else does or doesn’t do for themselves I’m still going to carry on with my life and goals. People here can stay as miserable as they like - just seems so weird that people would make that choice vs trying to heal. But w/e it’s their lives to spend however they see fit.

Tbh the whole thing the way I've stumbled upon it came off as kinda nutty sounding. If you were someone I hadn't gotten to "know" to a certain degree I would have written it off as mania. And you do come off as some who's very manic. I don't like critiquing people, but in this case it's necessary as to why people may not be accepting of you regarding this. Instead of someone putting themselves in your shoes, have you put yourself in the shoes of the audience?

What I find perplexing is why some people seems to take it as a personal affront when others don't accept their advice.

I'm a sensible person; therefore, it's not unusual for folks to request my advice. I give it, and whether they follow it not doesn't concern me. As for the rest of it, if I have a problem, it doesn't follow that I'm going to immediately try any suggestion given to me by random strangers. I get it, you think your diet is great, but, personally, nothing you've ever presented is particularly compelling to me. I can only imagine that others feel the same.

If it were the first post I ever made on this forum, yeah, I can see that. But it wasn't. By far. I'd been on the forum for a year or two with the SAME symptoms & complaints as everyone else here. Then life transpired how it did & I learned and did what I did and shared it here.

Have you considered how you'd want to share what you'd done & achieved in terms of treating symptoms, regardless how "nutty," you may sound had you done what I have?

Further, over the last 4+ years there have been several articles about ASD studies on the intestines, gut dysbiois, probiotic treatments etc all pointing in the direction of exactly what I've been "shouting from the rooftops," for more than 4 years. Even back then there was some documentary I posted about w/ a woman who treated her son with mass amounts of probiotics & they had determined there was one specific bacteria/somethingerother they were combatting. And there are others stories online, too.

But it seems people are mostly only interested in a convenient pharmaceutical pill to swallow once day vs. having to put any effort into themselves. Or are so rigid in their thinking that no one who suffers from the same afflictions could possibly figure out how to treat them and that ONLY a medical researcher or MD could relay any sort of beneficial treatment information - which, I comprehend, is symptomatic of ASD.

Still all remains weird af to me, though.

I only take it as a personal affront when others call me a liar or suggest I've been perpetuating a hoax. Those are personal attacks/insults.

Not taking my advice is a-okay. It just seems absurd to ignore said advice and continue complaining about suicidal depression, anxiety, and ASD symptoms instead, as if no one in the history of the world or this forum has ever suggested there's a treatment method that works to treat & manage what ails them. That's it that's all.

What would be compelling to you? My medical records that show I used to take pharmaceutical antidepressants and antianxietals and now do not? My employment records that show I couldn't work but now have been for years? My bank statements that show I was over 6 figures in the red and then bankrupt and now way in the black? Literally my entire life has changed for the better for having figured out & done this, and THAT's why I feel compelled to share it with those who suffer from the same afflictions that ruled over my life until I figured out how to treat them.

I don't think people listen until they're ready to hear.
That's just how it is.

It's like you are expecting people in this thread to automatically assimilate and or be aware of a plethora of stuff that's been posted over a span of several years. I do not like critiquing others, but in this case it's unavoidable. You come off as someone who is rather manic. Like you're really just hyped up from whatever it is you're doing so of course you feel euphorically fantastic - but also display irritability.

Excellent point. I can relate with my “rock bottom,” ready moment as described earlier in this thread.

It just seems weird to me that others who suffer from suicidal depression and crippling anxiety and all the negative symptoms of ASD, and complain about them incessantly, haven’t reached that point where they’re ready to hear.

*shrug* I’ll be back to my full time day job soon enough and off the forums again for the most part & will carry on living my life and working towards my goals regardless of what others here do or do not do. But I couldn’t resist bringing the topic up again since being so active here recently and reading complaint after complaint from others. At least there’s some productive discussion going on in this thread. That, I enjoy. 8)

I’m not manic. I’m certainly much more optimistic than I used to be. If you experienced the life changing effects of medicine that I have, you’d want to share them with this group, too. You’d also think it odd that others would prefer to keep themselves in a frustrated suicidal loop vs try to treat themselves and see if what’s worked for me works for them, too.

I’m not a wreck over this. But I can’t help but think of the doctor who discovered that hand washing by doctors and surgeons was essential to the health of patients and that germs/bacteria were being spread and infecting patients. Other doctors rejected his hypothesis and recommendations and it drove him nuts. Obviously, eventually, it was accepted that he was in fact correct and hand washing became standard practice. That’s sort of an extreme amplified example of how I feel about all of this.

And of course, there is always the camp which believes there is no cure or treatment for ASD, as well as have no desire for a cure or treatment for ASD. IOW, they're fine just as they are, warts and all, and if ASD is what garnered them SSI or SSDI, why change that?

What I am saying is I think you need to come up with a better method of presenting this.

Another thing is, while pharmaceutical or alternative medicine treatments do affect brain chemistry, they do not change neurology.

There wasn't a treatment for any ailment until there was.

Those people are free to choose not to treat themselves if they're content and opt not to, that's fine.

The perplexing ones are those who complain to no end about their symptoms, yet opt to do nothing to affect change upon them.
